Is there a dyno chart? How was the gain measured to the wheels or the crank? Is there a tune available for those running without primary cats, Like this tune?

All this excitement, and not a single before/after dyno by a customer.

Sticky may have been loud and obnoxious at times, but he had dyno's to prove he made gains.

Not to change topic, but what happened to Sticky? Haven't read any arguments with him lately, is he still here?

Just to clarify for you all,

Most reflashes for the new M3,M5 and M6 are being done via OBDII port. If the car is not local to the tuner then obviously the OBDII flashing becomes null. There is really nothing new being done here.... Just stating facts..

Yes but some tuners have portable tuning kits and allow customers to reflash their own cars. This is only possible using the OBDII port...

Most of the M3 remap products I have seen require removal of the ECU...

I think the benefit here, from what I understood when I last spoke to someone at RDSport, is that they have a new hardware unit to allow dealers to perform OBD-II flashes. I believe they are in the process of finalizing this network now, so people in lots of regions can have the benefit of flashing the ECU as opposed to having to remove and mail it.

We have the same network worldwide, however most find it easier to send the ECU in if there are located in the states.

I’m new on m3post.com and new to the BMW world, I picked up my first M3 after having owned only Porsches for the last 7 years. Not sure how crazy I’m going to go on modding my new beast, but I wanted to start with software.

After researching EMS options available for my M3 I decided to go with the RDSport tune. There’s a couple of reasons why I went with these guys, one was the gains (I’ll list below) and two because they are the only company I could locate that could tune my E92 via the OBD Point. I really couldn’t be bothered with sending my ECU somewhere as I use the car as my daily driver.

Gains:

Horse Power +24

Torque [Nm] +31

Speed [mp/h] 193.8

0-62 Mp/h [s] 4,7

I went to RDSports shop in Lake Forest, they read the ECU via the OBD Port which only took a couple of minutes, then they emailed the file to Racing Dynamics S.p.A in Italy to customize a file. About 30 minutes later they received the file back from Italy, they connected the laptop back up to my M3 then a couple of minutes later the job was done!

I can really feel the benefits of the software from RD and can’t wait to find myself on a quite long straight road now my speed limiter is removed! The throttle response is a lot more responsive now and the car does really pull noticeably better than stock.

Overall I am extremely pleased results and the service I received and the best part of all is that they are currently having a New Years Sale so I only paid $1000 instead of the normal $1750 MSRP

There was another M3 at the shop with RDSports exhaust on, it sounded so good I think that’s my next purchase!
Nice, I work in the same complex as RDSport and always see nice cars on their lot...

Wait - most customers find it easier to remove their ECU (or have their shop remove it), send it in, and wait a few days to have their car running again rather than visiting your 'worldwide' dealer network and having the car flashed the same day or by the next day at the latest? Somehow I find that hard to believe.

Also, Active has their own software thread so why don't you post there?

A dyno seems really justified for this software...great value if it really works.
