I'm pulling the trigger in the morning. It's either going to be the Eisenmann Sport, Dinan Rear, or M Performance. I've talked to many of you on here and read over the many threads thousands of times and watched all of the videos. . They all are different and will give me more noise. Here are my conclusions:

1. M Performance - $3500 - No Drone - Less Bass - Higher Pitched Exotic Note - Perfect Fit since OEM. 20LBS lighter than stock. Titanium Perforated Tips, cans hang a little low. 2 yr BMW warranty. Highlights the engine at any rpm especially over 3000 rpm. Has a lot of character. Does not pair well with x pipe.

2. Eisenmann Sport - $3400 with connecting pipes - More Bass - Heavier than stock - Slight drone at 2,000 rpm's. Fantastic quality. Great 83MM tips. Deep sound under 3000 rpm then more engine note over 4000 rpm and exhaust goes silent. Pairs well with X Pipe.

3. Dinan Rear Section - $2600 - no drone - only two functional tips - decent bass nice improvement over stock. Pairs well with Dinan Mid Section or Turner Test Pipes. Tips don't look as good. Some reported fitment/quality issues.

I've had the Eisenmann on my E60 535I and enjoyed it. If seemed like it did not have enough of a range in tone. Just bass at low rpm! I know a twin turbo I-6 is a completely different animal than a V8 but I'm not sure if I want more bass that disappears at 4,000 rpm.

The Dinan seems interesting as everyone who has it enjoys it, and the lower price tag will allow me to do more mods, possibly pair it with the Carbon Fiber CAI although a drop air filter in will give me the same gains. Not sure how the black tips will look with the Jerez Black Sedan.

M Perf is near the top of my list as the only negative that I have heard is paint flaking on the inside of the exhaust tips which can be removed. It may suit my style better since DD/Kids/Wife.

I'll let you know what I do tomorrow. You guys rock, everyone has bent over backwards, and reached out to me to help me make my choice.

Guys,
I ordered the Dinan rear section. Can't wait to install. I'll post pics and review as soon as I get it.

You won't regret it .........it's also time to change your signature from bone stock to "money pit". You have now opened up the flood gates.......Phil

You hit the nail on the head with money pit. I'm tempted to get the CF CAI as well. I know that a drop in will produce similar results for a 10th of the price.

I hope you're aware that a muffler back + CF CAI (carbon fiber cold-air induction?) on an E9X M3 will yield no gains.

Yes I am - Once out of warranty I'll probably go the Turner Test Pipe route and Evolve or Dinan Software.

I hear that there is still no drone with the Dinan X Pipes. Correct me if I am wrong but you can also run an ESS or Evovle tune with no problems.

Correct but I'm not sure if these tunes address the CEL. Dinan has no drone or CEL with the X pipe............Phil

Any tuner can address the SES light - it is just one DTC that is removed for the catalyst inefficiency of both banks of cylinders.

This will offer minimal gains as well. You are in a different animal than a 535. This engine is tough to get gains on aside from FI

30 wheel hp, so about 50 crank hp. Your right. The gts should have just added a full exhaust (which it did) and forget about stroking the motor to 4.4L to make 450hp. They could have done it with a "tune" and exhaust!

People really are suckers for these bogus hp claims. Maybe 10hp from cat delete. 10-15 with cat delete and a tune at the wheels. No more.

Man you really are an idiot!!!! It is well documented by numerous dyno runs (that you can view in the dyno database at bimmertech) that a full exhaust does indeed add 20 to 30 WHP, if not more in some cases.

By the way, the GTS don't have a full exhaust, it has a different rear muffler. The mid section is the same as any other M3 including those restrictive primary cats that when removed are the source of the gains.

I think this is that moron wallstreet that got banned like a month ago. Same MO - everyone is committing fraud, M designed everything perfectly, blah blah.

I mean seriously...I only asked about opinions on each system. Not how I won't see any noticeable gains unless I go F/I. I'm doing these upgrades to make the car drive & sound better on the street/track. I'm not drag racing every car on the street or off the line. I would of bought a Mustang for that.

Hopefully it should arrive by Friday. I should be able to do the install this weekend. I'll post pics of the install and video clips. I also ordered the Dinan Carbon Fiber intake but that won't arrive until next week.
