I didn't have the money to make it a full blown racecar, and didn't have the balls or license status to drive it every day. Had a GT3RSR body kit from an old ALMS car, it was only 1 1/2" off the ground, and was straightpiped...

UPDATE
Just Dyno'd today and it only made 333 on the Dynapack. (Exhaust, Turner Test Pipes, Intake, Tune) I know DynaPacks read low but this seemed real low lol, I was expecting like 370. Well, Supercharger is going on as we speak and we'll re-dyno her then!

Congrats OP! I personally still prefer my E92 for looks (hardly ever use the back seat) and a few exclusive features (under-door orange lighting extending all the way to the rear) and also because I noticed that when driving with the windows down on an E90, that B-pillar creates a lot more buffeting, whereas the same speed in an E92 is much more pleasant.
Two questions: What didn't you like about the BRZ as a DD, just the lacking power? And what made you go with Brembos over more popular BBKs like StopTech? I went ST for far more pad choices, easier pad swaps at the track, and the much lower cost with no apparent decrease in performance based on everything I'd read.

I personally have no experience with StopTech's, so I have nothing against them, just listening to the people that I have no choice but to trust lol.

congrats on the car. 1 question: have you driven through tough LA stop-and-go traffic (405, downtown, in the am and rush hour)? and if so were you ok with your car/ no regrets?

The BRZ was THE WORST CAR I HAVE EVER DRIVEN IN TRAFFIC, even worse than my "GT3RSR" with a race clutch... Ofcourse DCT will be easier in any city environment, but I sat through Atlanta Rush Hour, and drove to LAX already with no complaints.

BTW, I get better gas mileage with 6MT even without the mystical "7th gear"

Not to step on Drakes toes or steal his thunder but here is a pic of his ride right before I sold it to him. No awesome brakes or blower. I'm sure he'll be providing some sick pictures of those.

Wow, really? I drove a friend's BRZ for about 100 miles on back hill country roads and had a total blast. I was only stuck in traffic for a quick stint during that drive, but the clutch didn't strike me as something that would be painful for longer stretches in traffic. Not as light as the M3, but few clutches are. Sorry you had such a bad experience; after my BRZ experience I knew that I'd definitely buy one if I stopped tracking regularly and therefore couldn't justify owning an M3 to myself, but I'll have to look at that more closely if I ever end up in the market for one.

As long as the driver does not abuse the clutch or burn it all the time, it will last long. BMW has been fitted with manual in many models for a long time, and they know what type of clutch should be installed on a V8 M car that many owners will most likely abuse or track often, which is really the purpose of the car. With that said, I remember reading a technical article about the "cons" of removing CDV of manual car. many owners believe it gives better shift points/feels, but technically will damage the tranny. There's a reason why this tranny is fitted to a 400+ hp car, and CDV is another reason for that as well.
