Anyone successfully use $1000 coupon after negotiation?

After participating in the Ultimate Driving Event, one receives a $1000 discount coupon via email for a new car or lease (with some restrictions).

Has anyone used such a coupon successfully after having placed an order and negotiating a price? In a few threads, folks appear to assume that this is OK, but I am wondering if this has actually worked for anyone.

I did participate in the event and should receive the discount email soon. Being that this is a nation-wide event/promotion, does anyone know if the specific dealership is offering the $1000 off, or will they be reimbursed by BMWNA? If so, I would guess they are more likely to accept the coupon...

The $1000 is paid to the dealer by BMWNA and is treated like any other rebate. Once you've struck a deal there should be no issues in using the $1k certificate as a form of payment.

What about for ED. My dealer told me it is N/A for Eurodelivery.

That is correct... It's not applicable to ED cars. It's also not applicable to the F10 5 series.

Thanks!

BTW, nice color choice.
Mine is SS as well - E90 though. I will wait for the $1000 certificate for sure before taking delivery!

I believe the voucher is only transferable if you live in the same household.

I just finished the driving event last Sunday, still waiting for the voucher to show up in my e-mail box.
