Inner Tie Rods

Hey guys,

What are we doing for replacement inner tie rods? I see the outer tie rod ends are readily available from the oes, however the inners seem to only be available from BMW direct or from Hamburg Technic (sp), however the HT stuff has been generally regarded as crap.

Am I ordering the complete units (inners and outers) from the stealership or is there an alternative?

Thanks in advance.

I just bent my passenger tie rod. I bought part# 32102283462. It includes inner & outer. $90 for after market or $250 for BMW. You will also need a new clamp (part#32106765232) for the rubber boot as they are not reusable. Then an allighnment… I would suggest learning to use Realoem.com to get the part number for whatever online vendor you use.

Thanks for this. What is the brand on the part you purchased?

I roll BMW parts unless it’s something for performance. So I paid the $250 + $40 for the stupid clamp. I suppose you could use a robust tie wrap for this though. The clip requires a tool to put in 😂 I hate using the dealership, so I do what I can as much as possible. ISTA has TIS manuals for the work so it’s not bad.

I bought BMW OE as well when I had to replace my inner tie rods.
