I'm sure there is some kind of locating device like you mention. I didn't think about that. Why didn't they just integrate it into the fender like the 335? That looks like there was actual thought put into it.

I think the 335 coupe reflector is even worse. Lets face it, we all knew the reflector was going to be on the USA car. There's no getting away from it.

Just like with the E46, you'll just need to go an purchase a colour coded blank which I'm sure by the time that car shows up here, will be available from the usual aftermarket suppliers.

+2

I personally like the amber reflectors (..or am just impartial about the whole topic), so it doesn't bother me at all.

HA! I think that the current ///M3 front fascia looks like a cross-eyed feline. I still dig it though.

I bet the reflectors will look better with a darker color such as Jerez. White really isolates them.

Wow white looks horrible w/out a CF roof. And even if the reflectors don't peel off, I'm sure you can take them and have them painted just like on the E46s. It was the first thing I did to my car and it'll surely be the first thing I do to my M3 when I get it.

That said, it's hard not to like the car anyway. Can that reflector be removed? Is there a hole beneath it for the wiring, or is it just a reflector without a bulb?
It's funny that you should say that because people on the 1er forum are asking why they didn't put the reflectors on the bumper.

At least with it on the bumper you can do something about it. Remove it, paint it, or put something else there entirely if there is a hole. It's really not a big deal, I don't see what all the fuss is about. If anything it will help distinguish on the road people that car about their car (and may be forum members) and people that just bought it because its a M3.

I can't say I understand that one.

Plenty of people will leave on the reflectors - both badge buyers and serious enthusiasasts, and plenty of people will remove them, both badge buyers and enthusiasts. I would likely be inclined to leave them simply because they are not that noticeable to me, and as long as the car performs like it should I don't care about tiny minor aesthetic details like this.
