I'm sure there is some kind of locating device like you mention. I didn't think about that. Why didn't they just integrate it into the fender like the 335? That looks like there was actual thought put into it.

Just like with the E46, you'll just need to go an purchase a colour coded blank which I'm sure by the time that car shows up here, will be available from the usual aftermarket suppliers. |

I personally like the amber reflectors (..or am just impartial about the whole topic), so it doesn't bother me at all. |

Wow white looks horrible w/out a CF roof. And even if the reflectors don't peel off, I'm sure you can take them and have them painted just like on the E46s. It was the first thing I did to my car and it'll surely be the first thing I do to my M3 when I get it.

I agree, the reflectors have to go. And they are orange too. They might been okay if there are red or amber or anything but orange.. But, damm nice car. I am in love..

At least with it on the bumper you can do something about it. Remove it, paint it, or put something else there entirely if there is a hole. It's really not a big deal, I don't see what all the fuss is about. If anything it will help distinguish on the road people that car about their car (and may be forum members) and people that just bought it because its a M3.

Plenty of people will leave on the reflectors - both badge buyers and serious enthusiasasts, and plenty of people will remove them, both badge buyers and enthusiasts. I would likely be inclined to leave them simply because they are not that noticeable to me, and as long as the car performs like it should I don't care about tiny minor aesthetic details like this. |
