M Logo on the headrests

I had a thought today as I looked at the M badge on the headrests. Is it possible to "liven it up" with some color as the exterior badges are? If tastefully done, I thought it would be a nice cheap upgrade?

Thoughts?

it may look good for certain colors though. just imagine ///M embroideries on black leather. i doubt that it'll look good on my fox red leather.

+1 I think if it were stitched in, it would look pretty sweet and it will go nicely with the stitching around the steering wheel. Just make sure it's done well, otherwise it will look cheesy!

My thoughts exactly stitching would be appropriate. Colored, or dyed in may make for a disastrous consequence.

The same thought crossed my mind and i will be doing it soon.
I first thought of adding leather color to fill out the /// but now i'm thinking a nice stitching job would be nicer.

so do the E9x's. It's stamped into the leather. Did the E46
's have it stiched or colored?

It's stamped as well, I believe. GregW has stickers that overlay the logos.

i think if the same adoption of the tri-color stitching that is used on the steering wheel ...is used on the M badges on the headrests...it would look good. However, as many forum members aforementioned, it must be done professionally, and probably will only work with certain colors....just my 2 cents.

I think I prefer the way the logos are stamped into the leather over having some coloured stitching in the head rests.

If it were stitched into the black leather it might (marginally) look OK. I'm imagining my beautiful, supple Fox Red novillo leather "colored-in" with the M-badge colors and it makes me want to puke.

Tak-a-rama! Yich!

In this case, subtle is best.

I like the fact they're subtle because there are already too many goddamned ///M logos on the car as it is. I would prefer the only ///M logo on the car be the ones on the side gills.
