I don't think anyone can really hate on any black series.. Their cars look/sound/have awesomeness written all over it. This C is going to be just the same but with wider fenders/tires + most likely KW components + HNR sways + eisenmann mufflers all from the factory, its going to be a fun little machine.

Read this today:

Quote:
It has been reported that with the upcoming release of the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the planners at AMG have conceptualized the AMG Black Series variant for this new model, with an introduction scheduled for 2012.

The new C-Class AMG Black Series Coupe will not be sporting the 6.2 liter powerplant from the previous C63. While this may sadden the many aficionados who are enraptured by the glorious sound that engine makes, Mercedes-Benz has decided to opt for the 5.5 liter biturbo V8. As installed in the S63 AMG, this particular engine belts out 571 horsepower with its 664 lb-ft of torque hitting between 2,250 and 5,500 rpm.

Mercedes has claimed that the new C-Class AMG Black Series will be "an M3 killer". Adding a "mere" 71 horsepower to the previous 6.2's 500 may not be enough though. But since the 5.5 liter twin turbo engine already powers its bigger siblings, the better power-to-weight ratio afforded by the C-Class platform may do the trick. Having an extra year will give Mercedes-Benz and AMG engineers the extra development time they may need to truly substantiate their claim.

This just tells me again BMW should put the 4.4L S65 in the F32 M3 and offer a "black" type option of supercharging it. Or use the 4.4l TT V8. Oh well.

Make it two.

That WILL be the m3 killer.

Imagine 600 ft of torque at 2500 rpm.. that might not even be safe for you're back

How much will it cost though? A lot of 100K cars are "M3 killers"

It's like purchasing a convertible but would rarely put the top down in nice weather. Oh well.
Maybe it's because you are on an m3 forum

That's like me posting on a benz forum and being surprised no one agrees with me.

I think it's good to have some c63 owners around here because it brings good discussion, but if straight line speed was as important to everyone as it was to you then we'd be driving that instead.

I actually cross shopped both and do have plans to track. Both are nice but this one fits me better

I've heard this speech from C63 owners time and time and time and again that goes something like this...

"While the M3 performs better than the C63 on the track, however 99.9% of M3 owners drive their cars on public roads so how much does this really matter?"

So... does that mean that 99.9% of C63 owners violate the traffic laws on public roads on a daily basis ?

Please tell me you did not buy a 451hp for daily use and do the speed limit.

Before anyone ask, Yes, I use both my Evo IX Track car and M3 on a race track.

Just a thought.

Oh no, no, no..price doesnt matter when it comes to jerkoffs writing magazine artices. They might as well put a picture of a Veyron up and make the same claim.
