The Euro spec M3's have the stock stereo, Logic 7 & the premium sound as an option. It's costs them waaayyy more than us. I spec'd my car on a BMW.de site & it cost over 84,000 Euro, MSRP. With the exchange rate, it runs a little over $120K. They are offering a whopping 7.9% finance option. |

Which florida dealer did you order the car? I am sure they charge $599 dealer fee right?

They actually charged a dealer fee of 180, I really do not know why they charge this but they came with a very generous offer upfront. I appreciate service and things that are straight to the point, I did not even negotiated their initial offer of 500 above invoice. The whole ordering process took me less than 15 minutes.
The dealer was BMW of Fort Lauderdale. Have you had any experience with it? |

FYSA - 2010 M3 pricing released yesterday on the BMW sites. My SA told me "the good news at first glance is the base price dropped $1850.00" I'm through military sales so check with your SA. Hope you hear the same

Hey Guys/Gals,
Just called the 800 number and my car is scheduled to be completed on the 21st!!! I cannot wait, this is too much pressure. P.s. For those of you that have questions about the options in your car, since they do not show properly in the OC, you can call the 800 number and a representative or manager will give them to you, even though they will say they cannot. |

Welcome onboard Living B!!
Son in summary, what did you end up ordering? IfI did get you got a sedan right? I was going to comment that if you were only planning on having grown-ups in the back, a coupe could have worked out. Just if you have a baby/infant can it really be annoying. Anyhow, keep us posted on your progress.

Hey Mtrois,
Thanks, I ended up getting the sedan with the options listed in the thread plus the premium package. The reason I chose the sedan is because it's performance is almost identical to that of the coupe, and it has the two extra doors. Even though I think the coupe is 10X nicer and I do not have children, the sedan is easier for me to use as a DD. I will keep you guys posted, and thank you. |

I have the same thing, it's just a bass and treble adjustment. Technically that's a 2-band EQ but it's not nearly as useful as the 7-band parametric EQ with the Logic 7 sound system.

Just called the 800 number and they cut the time for my build date from Sept 21 to the 19!!! Why are they doing this, it seems like everyone is getting their 2010's sooner than expected.

I had no idea this extra tax we pay went to the owners of hybrid cars. At any rate, it does not really make sense since, from what I understand, producing the batteries for a hybrid car pollute more than simply producing a regular car.
On another note, I got my vin and my car has been produced!!! This wait is killing me! |

Hello All!
My car has arrived at the dealer, I will be picking it up on Monday. After this ordering process I will give my $.2 for those that are still tracking their cars. My car was ordered on August 30th and arrived on port on October 13th. It basically took 2.5 days to go through the preparation center so the EPA hold has definitely been removed. From my experience, the 1800 number seemed about half a day more accurate than the OC(I checked the status on my car about 10X a day per method!!!). This number stopped being accurate once the car was shipped from Munich. From there on I just called the dealer or looked online. I also noticed a strange pattern on the OC, although the options did not show correctly, they were there. And during the only times the OC did not show any options at all, it was right before the transition to one of the steps, Ie. From Scheduled to production to en route. So you basically predict when it will change status. On the 1800 number the representatives are very nice but are not very helpful, they say they cannot provide certain information or that they do not have it, but they do, if you insist or ask for a manager you can get any info on the car. I want to thank all of you and congratulate this forum on the tremendous wealth that can be found here!!! I have learned, in my opinion, too much about the car. Thank you, Joe P.s. If you guys have any advice to give on the car please do so as it is my first real-wheel drive car and fastest I have ever owned. My second fastest was an Acura TL. |
