The email I sent them I said 70,000 - 2500 and they asked if I was willing to come in and do paper work. Pretty sure they accepted then What kind of deals are people able to negotiate ordering a 2011?

The residual is 49%.
Rates are at 3.9%.

To be honest it makes more sense to buy the car right now than to lease. I just can't see myself in the car for more than 3 years.

Mind sharing your deal?

I can't, it was military sales and we can't disclose the price.

How long was the lease? At almost a grand a month it's be paid off in 6 years on a loan.

We have military invoice and MSRP pricing already.
Obviously you got a great deal but you can't compare the everyday consumer's deal to yours End of the day you're getting an additional 5k off the car.

It's a 36mo lease on 10k miles.

The average rate I've seen around here for a 36mo 12k lease is around ~$1250. Anything below $1100 sounds like a good deal to me without any money down.

It's not exactly public either. The point is we're asked not to disclose pricing, so I don't. The whole integrity thing, ya know.

I'm not getting into the discount but your figure is wrong. I wasn't really comparing my deal to his. Ok, I was a little, but his number still seems high. I'll play with the numbers to see if it's just me.

I respect your integrity, but these prices have been made public awhile back...

No offense, but if you're trying to make a claim please back it up publicly with concrete evidence. Right now we are all speculating about your deal.

Based on the above it looks like you're getting a hefty discount of about 8k off MSRP right off the bat.

Also - I'm confused. He hasn't gotten a monthly rate yet so I'm assuming you're talking about either his original quoted MSRP, or what he's asking for on discount.

The original figure the dealer asked was too high, yes.
His discounted asking price is right on the money considering invoice pricing is roughly 7% less than sticker.

Well the OP car is a 74k MSRP'ed car. Judging from quality_sound's signature, the MSRP is most likely at least $5k lower (6MT and no EPS). That will explain the lower payment.

The military price is still higher than ED price, so if you want to save the most you can always go the ED route.

As I mentioned before, you can get the 74k MSRP car for ~$67k with the spring credit, if you are in a competitive market.

Here are the leasing prices they gave me.

36 month lease, 12k miles per year with no cap cost reduction, inception fees only ($3786.11) would give you a payment of $1066.77 + $83.21 tax would give you a payment of $1149.98 per month.

36 month lease, 12k miles per year with $1000. down plus fees (Total $4832.39) would give you a payment of $1037.35 + $80.91 tax = $1118.26 per month.

36 month lease, 12k miles per year with $5000. down plus fees (Total $8867.50) would give you a payment of $919.64 + $71.73 tax = $991.37 per month

Instead of putting down payment, use Multiple Security Deposits to bring down the MF. With 7 (maximum allowed) security deposits, your MF will reduce by 0.00049, which gives you a rate of 0.00076 (0.00125 - 0.00049). This reduction in MF will save you about $75 a month, and you will get all of it back at the end of term.

Also, it looks like they are selling you the car for more than $68k, is that right?

I'm getting mine for $65625. That includes delivery, gas guzzler tax, etc. Coupe Jerez, Competition, Technology, Premium, Theft, Ipod, Satellite.

My trade is worth $11.5k and I'm putting $20k down because I want the min payments as low as possible because I want to pay over them every month to pay off early. Want to pay as little interest as possible.

Thanks for the info. No, I said $67,500 and then they add T.T.I... should I be getting the car at 67,500 out the door?

Also: what do you mean I will get it all back at the end of the term?

It's published, check bimmerfest. It's not quite as good as Euro Delivery pricing which is also published.
