Which exhaust shall I go for? (TÜV-version needed!)

Hey guys!

I´m looking for a new exhaust and I know that there a loads of posts about this topic but I couldnt find a single one dealing with only TÜV-approved exhausts.

I´m living in Germany so unfortunately that´s exactly what I need and now I´m looking for the one with loudest (best) sound.

TÜV-versions, also called Sport versions, are available from:
- AC-Schnitzer (atm my favorit)
- Eisenmann
- Akrapovic
- Hamann
...and I think thats about it!

Hope you guys can help me out. I´ve been checking out YouTube already for soundvideos but I think it´s a different story when you hear them live!

Thanks a lot for your input!!!

Akra if you have money to burn, otherwise, I'd recommned the Bastuck unit.

Thanks for the tip! I didn´t even think about Bastuck...
But I just checked their website and they dont have a TÜV-approved version of the exhaust.
Thanks anyway!

Eisenmann Sport or Akra slip on, I have had both on my car. Eisenmann Sport sound is good, High End of course and best quality and fitment is the Akra and you have the option to upgrade later on.

That's strange because they are advertised as TUV compliant here by all the venders. It's known as a pretty quiet exhaust but deeper sounding down low about about stock up top.

Of the choices on the list, I'd go Eisenmann Sport or Akra.

And AC Schnitzer is actually made by Remus.

To the OP, I've sent you a PM with the TUV-approved exhaust choice for you!

Okai guys!

Just ordered my new exhaust.
It´s gonna be an .... Eisenmann Medium ! Yes, Medium!
I was suprised aswell but apparently the Sport version is 80db, the medium is 85db and the Race is 90db.
And the good thing is, the medium is still TÜV-approved!

And now the bad thing! I ordered the exhaust via my local BMW-dealer and they said it´s gonna be there by the end of the week. The earliest appointment to install it is the 14th of May though. I´m not really happy with that so I´m gonna go there again tomorrow to check for an earlier date!

Thanks a lot for your support anyway!!!
I hope I made the right choice!

Does anyone know if this Eisenmann medium available on this side of the pond (U.S)??? I feel like the sport may be too quiet and the race maybe a bit too loud...

It`s me again with a first feedback of the Eisenmann Medium:

I love it!
I sounds awesome to my ears! Not too loud and not too quiet. It`s a lot deeper than the stock version. I think it suits the M3 just perfectly!

The looks is killer aswell! I am so happy I listened to most of the guys around here... now I know why half of u guys are going for the Eisenmann

I`ll provide you with a sound file sometime next week cuz I am getting a few more small goodies for my Emmi

Thanks again for all the feedback!

I know a couple people from M Flight that have the Remus...good sounding exhaust...I've got the AA....so I'm gonna have to take my risk when I bring the car back to Germany after this deployment.
