Thanks for the info andeee05. Do you mind me asking what you had done at EAS and LTMW for you to recommend them?

I have used Bullet Performance, MRF, LTMW and EAS.

Here is my ranking:

#1 MRF is my shop. Malek takes care of my car as if it was his own. Malek's shop is clean as hell and his work is flawless.

#2 EAS is also very professional. Tom has never done me wrong.

#3 LTMW is great but I have only used them for some bodywork. The guys seem really nice, but I have never done any real tuning there.

#999,999 Bullet Performance is worse than horse shit. Never go there. They couldn't even install a bolt on cat back exhaust correctly. Straight dog shit.

#1 MRF - hands down

I personally have worked with multiple shops, Supreme, EAS, BavX, and a bunch more lesser known. Thankfully my 335i was the guinea pig...my M3 will only be left in the hands of Malek at MRF. Malek's work ethic is unmatched and his attention to detail astounding. When it comes to installs, overnight jobs, or just a pleasure to deal with, MRF has my vote 100x over. Buying grills and other products don't demonstrate a shops knowledge base, or integrity for that matter, so go ahead and shop around for those; but for installs and big boy matters -> MRF.

I live in the Bay Area and go to EAS...that says a lot about what I think about their work and service.

I have to check out MRF some day - from looking around, the guys with well done setups have done it there. Performance based setups.

I guess nobody on here really cares if they are getting ripped off or not (or maybe don't know??)

Wow this is amazing how MRF just blows the competition out to door based on the members who have responded. Not to undermine the other shops mentioned, but the fact that DIFFERENT M3 owners can say the same speaks multitudes versus a single biased review. Malik must be doing something right.

Hi StrifeM3, for the 3 shops mentioned for you, which have done the most difficult work that left you with a positive experience?

I agree. Installing bumpers, grills, and bolting on parts don't really demonstrate a shops knowledge at all. Any forum member who can read instructions and has tools can do that. I think a huge part of a successful shop/business is customer service also.

Wow now that is commitment. Do you save up a huge pile of parts and bring them all down to install at once?

Additionally, I have had some good experiences with the following:

1. BMW of Riverside (great team of service techs and service advisers)
2. BMW of Murrieta (Boris Said's shop...one of those car guys you've got to meet!)
3. Sterling BMW

Thankfully there are a LOT of great shops in SoCal. The bad reviews are rather far and few between and are significantly over shadowed by the good reviews from a very diverse community of car lovers.

My one stop shop is MRF engineering.

I go there from regular maintenance to full blown engine mods.

You won't be disappointed by his shops cleanliness and his attention to detail and how he treats all his customers cars like his own.

Give them a call and talk to Malek

I can personally attest to this. If you need to hit up a dealership for some reason, Id go here, even though its a far drive. Victoria Guthery is a service adviser there and you guys should ask for her. She hooked it up BIG time for me. PM me if any questions... but in short, she basically saved me about $8,000 compared to ANY other dealership. Boris Said is awesome btw...

I have say EAS. They're very professionally organized and it was definitely worth the drive to have the work done on my car there.

Have to give a special shout out to robert @ eas for the excellent customer service. Super cool guy-

MALEK AT MRF!!!

I do 90% of my own work and I am giant perfectionist. When it came time for some things that I could not do myself, I took my car to Malek.

Malek is as much of a perfectionist as I am. I was shocked and impressed with his attention to detail!

Well said. I had a few different shops work on my 335's but I had Malek build my M3. He installed the S/C (and changed out different pulleys, etc along the way), designed my custom water/meth injection kit, installed my StopTech BBK, did my alignment, calculated the correct tires pressures when I changed out tires, and a zillion other small things that I probably forgot. Oh and I'm running his MRF Velaforza x-pipe!

EAS is the only place I take my car for mods and they've done service on my car a few times as well.

Tom has done all the coding on my car and he's never disappointed me. Thanks to Tom and EAS, my car has auto-folding mirrors, Euro MDM/DCT, 240E software, dvd in motion, and plenty of other goodies that make the car exactly what I want it to be. I've gotten an alignment and a couple of oil changes there without any issues. They're always fast and they know what they're doing.

The guys at EAS have also installed my MS Test Pipes, Akra slip-on, and MS Pulleys. They have immaculate attention to detail and made sure the Akra CF tips were perfectly aligned before they took it off the lift. They also spent a great deal of time checking for exhaust leaks with the MS test pipes. The end result was amazing, and I couldn't have asked for better service. I have and always will go to EAS for all of my modding needs Even if it means driving down from NorCal for a weekend
