Federal 595 RSR

Anyone run these tires on the track?

The performance to price ratio of these tires is incredible.

If I were to drive conservatively on the track, a set which costs 400 dollars could last me the whole season, and if I don't its only 400 dollars more. 200 dolalrs cheaper then the next cheapest option.

I had the 595 rs version on my Evo 9 and I hated them. The sidewall was soooooo soft that the car would wobble every time I'd take a turn. Very unstable tire but super cheap. It's very popular in the drift scene though but I will never buy them again.

WAH???

That's an oxymoron lol! j/k

Seriously, you may be able to find a really nice set, barely used of *quality* rubber on sccaforums.com, as the street tire category classes continue to populate in Solo--for some good values.

Just a thought...

these and the nankang ns-2r are taking the uk buy storm, budget semi slicks and both are used as a control tyre in actual championship series, i have tried the nankang and they are as good as an ad08 easily, full tread depth, look great and perform insane for the price point, my tyre snobbery is over, all its done is cost me money! These new budget semi slicks are imo the way forward!

heres my car on the nankang ns-2r you can see the aggressive tread pattern.

i went with a 235/40 and 265 35.... very very stiff sidewall, very noisy, but are providing a decent ride and the dry grip i insane, these are 120 TWR, so will wear quickly...

I've heard mixed reviews on these tires. I'm interested in how the BFG Rivals hold up wth everyone recently purchasing them

I tried a set. They had tread splice & heat-cycled out pretty quickly--will not buy again. My .02
