cf roof or moonroof

I ordered a moonroof for 2 simple reasons. 1) I am getting a dark color so the cf roof wont show up that good. 2) no moonroof makes me feel a little claustrophobic. I was just curious to see how many of you prefer cf roof, or moonroof

I think the CF roof makes the car unique, it looks good, but like you said in darker colors you cannot get the contrast to make it stand out

cf roof - I've had a moonroof in every car I've ever owned and I don't miss it one bit.

The E92 just looks 10x better with the CF roof - gorgeous

Never owned a moonroof in 40+ years of vehicle purchases. Carbon fiber roof on Space Gray looks likes it belongs there and is definitely unique among mainstream production.

I went with the CF roof, but the decision was a no-brainer since I went with AW. I don't miss the sunroof at all, and agree that the CF roof really makes the car (more) unique. If you go Jerez Black, the look won't be that different no matter which option you select. If you're worried about feeling claustrophobic then go with the sunroof and enjoy it!

CF roof! Have it and love it. The coupe without a CF roof was a non-starter for me. It looks cool, saves on weight, and makes the unique as others have said. You can get a MF on just about any BMW, or any car for that matter, but can you get a CF roof? Nope - only on the M series.

yeah but what color is your car? i am getting Jerez. cf doesnt show up that good on a dark car. Kind of defeats the purpose

I think it depends on the color.. if I was getting a coupe, I'd get the CF roof since I'm getting AW. I agree that moonroof is nice to have on a darker color.

My car is Jet Black. The CF is gray and black weave so there is definitely contrast there. And it really shows in the sunlight. I would think it would show even more contrast on Jerez because Jerez isn't really black. But who cares - your already ordered the car, correct?

This show how opinions differ. I have seen the CF roof on SG and I didn't think there was much contrast there at all because the CF has gray in it. I think the CF roof has just as much contrast on Jet Black as SG, but thats me. Its all a matter of personal opinion.

Personally, I never used the MR on my E90 M because the sun always shined directly in my eye. Now that I have this E92, it was a no-brainer. Don't miss the MR one bit.

yes plus I always thought that a moonroof makes the car looke more luxurious. I always thought cars without moonroofs look cheaper. Just my opinion

I have a CF roof but would much prefer to have a moonroof. I use them all the time in every car I have owned previously. If I could add an aftermarket moonroof I would in a second.

OP, I can see your point but on MelRed, AW, and SG you definitely need the CFR to complete the car. However, I would still lean towards the CFR for JB if you think you will not miss the moon roof. Since I think you are leasing then it doesn't matter for resale as well.

BTW, haven't you been building this car for weeks now???

Hey rocket I know you were so worried about this car not being fast enough, I am very shocked you did not go with CF roof. I remember you were worried about keeping cost down and about if it was fast enough.
