E46 M3
so as many of you have read and seen there have been numerous reviews of the E9x m3 (main competitor being the rs5) and in each one comes out on top. really makes me excited to say i own one hahahah my question is though did the e46 m3 ever get this much press review and if it did, did it come out on top like the e9x m3 every time? i only ask because the e46 generation was a bit before my time

That's a great question. For some reason, I believe the e46 M was pretty dominate. I can tell you that in it's time, the e36 M was the undisputed King of the Hill.

Actually it was not. It had lost many comparos. As a matter of fact, it did not win very often.
For example, E46 M3 lost a comparison to the lowly Audi S4 V8 and then a couple years later again lost to the much more powerful B7 Audi RS4.
