i will never trust another test that Edmunds does again after that Infiniti controlled and tampered with 335i vs. their g37.

You should never trust any companies that are prviately funded and are not "independent".

They are always swayed by how much marketing dollars they are getting from the manufacturers.

ummm...

"The 3,780-pound IS-F gets to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds and does the quarter-mile in 13.2 seconds at 109 mph"

a slightly modded 335i wont have a problem here

At least the trap speed is good - I suspect that the 0-60 time and 1/4 mile time were affected by traction issues - the trap speed seems a little high for a 13.2? I'm not a big fan of the IS-F, but I suspect that we will see better numbers than this in the future. More interesting to me is that the suspension was said to be excessively stiff - not exactly what one would expect from Lexus.

LoL at toyota for trying to compete with the new m3, when those 0-60 times are similar to the old m3....

Say what you want about Edmunds, they nail it in some spots. Patricularly the IS-F looks:

"Unfortunately, before you can take a seat behind the wheel of the Lexus IS-F, you have to, you know, see it. We accept that the question of styling is largely a subjective matter. So there might be some Toyota fanboys who will admire the IS-F's nose — so like that of a Beluga whale. They might even like the dewlaplike growths behind the front wheels. But no one of sound mind could love the stacked quad exhaust tips. This is at least partly because they are not actually exhaust tips. In fact, they are not connected to the exhaust system in any way. They are simply jewelry for the rear fascia. It's an uncharacteristically cheesy execution by Lexus."

Edmund's numbers are never too good. My bone stock IS350 with 1/2 tank and NOTHING removed did a 13.44 yesterday so I have no idea how the IS-F is a 13.2 car. I'm not a toothpick either - I'm 190 pounds naked and I had small toolbox, wife's drycleaning, booster seat, couple bottles of water, manuals, and other stuff that added to the weight. Oh, stock tires, wheels, suspension, intake, exhaust, etc. I'm talking BONE STOCK. time slip is at:
