I don't see the need to use LC unless at a 1/4mile event and your car is properly setup (tires and linelock). You run the risk of smoking your clutches and getting massive wheel hop breaking something in the rear
Problem Is always knew this but that day at the track I was so Into achieving a solid time that I lost focus on how I was treating the car..

Wasn't covered , I didn't even try to have it covered as I knew it was my fault , plus I believe in karma

Hear, hear, well done! Mind telling us what it cost or what the BMW dealer list price would have been for this repair?

I am playing with the DCT settings on my M3 with the VT2-650 kit. I always use MDM with the DCT set to S and so far S4 seems like a good compromise between clutch slip and driveline shock durning WOT shifts.

i think your analysis of "flooring it off line w/out launch control" is wrong. i always do this and all my buddies with m3s do this and none of our cars are jerky shifting in 1 3 5 or 7. the shifts 1 3 5 7 feel the same as 2 4 6 and feel the same as m3s that do not get floored off the line. what exactly are you feeling in 1 3 5 7?

Ahhhhhh..., the freak out over DCT subsiding. Once people figure out, like you, that you don't need to replace the whole tranny, the whole game changes, at least financially. Once again, thank you sir, for letting a myriad of DCT owners sleep at night
