You are right about that!
I had a c5 z06 for almost a decade that the m3 replaced. The only way I could afford the m3 or z06 was by almost paying in full in cash.
I have my beater 99 solara as a fall back car.

Got a full time job as an automotive engineer and paid off all school loans at 21. Upgraded from a Honda fit and bought a e92 M3 at 22. Fit is now dedicated winter car.
