I have a 2008 E92. What would I need to have this, charge the iPhone and play music/podcasts (not bothered about videos) please and what is the cost and work to fit it?

You need BMW OEM cable P/N 61120440796 be connected to the USB/AUX port in the center console and the other end should be connected to the Dock.

The installation time is about 25-30min. I will post a DIY guide by the end of this week.

Does this come with an extension dock cable neccesary to connect into the short USB/3.5mm cable (dock connector end) that BMW supply? (this short BMW suplied cable connects into the centre arm rest console; USB and 3.5 mm jack slots)

It doesn't come with it but I can definitely order one for you if you would like.

I'm interested but I don't have the USB hook up in te armrest I only have the aux connection, does that mean I can't get it?

It can be connected to AUX port only, however you won't get all the features as with USB port.

I got many PM's asking if the iPod/iPhone dock will work with the new iPhone 4.

As you can see it works great !

A small opening needs to be made to pass the cable through.
