Thumbs up Who said we couldn't detail in January?? LOL

Hello M3 Post!!

This past weekend was amazingly warm here in the NYC Area so it was a perfect time to detail the M3! My car is about 3 Months old now and she is my daily driver. I had about 10 coats of Zaino Z2 Pro on my car but I wanted to try something different...sealants. Everything was done by hand. I do have a PC Machine but I prefer to detail by hand when I have to. I do not know why ALL of these pictures are blury when they are clear on my Mac!

My Snows are BMW OEM M Wheels with Michellin Alpine 3's. I love the way the wheels look on the car but I will still take my ZCP wheels anyday. I am counting down the day's until I put them on!

All of the products I use, besides Zaino, come from Detailers Domain. Phil runs a great company with excellent customer service.

Products used are as follow:

Wash:

Adam's Car Shampoo
Foam Gun
Wash Mitt with Gritt Guard

Wheels:

Zonax Wheel Cleaner
Swizzwax Wheel Brush
Ace Power Stick
Adams All-Purpose Cleaner
Adams Undercarriage Dressings

Waxes:

Zaino Clay Bar
1Z einszett Glanz Wax
Menzerna Power Lock Sealant
Adam's Detail Spray
Zaino Grand Seal
Zaino Tire Shine

Glass:

Adam's Glass Sealant - HIGHLY SUGGESTED
Adam's Glass Cleaner
Adam's Microfiber Applicator

Interior:

Zaino Leather in a Bottle - Cleaner
Zaino Leather in a Bottle - Conditioner
Tuff Stuff for Carpets
Swizzwax Interior Detail Brush

Lots of Microfiber used (Uber & Zaino)

Hope you enjoy the pics!! Comments and suggests are greatly appreciated!

Looks epic. Now you're going to pull out into the road and get sandblasted by other car's road debris and rocks. :P
j/k

Personally I am waiting until summer. We really love the road salt and gravel here in Calgary. Also, what polish did you use? Or did you?

nice to see someone brave enough to break out the detailing gear in the middle of January!
if you are looking for a killer sealant for winter try the Werkstatd Acrylic Jett Sealant!

Super durable for winter and leaves a sick finish!

I like those wheels too! whats the width on the rear tires?

No polish this time; strickly clay, wax, sealant. Polish I use Zaino Z2 Pro.

The Tires are OEM BMW M Wheels. It is a square 18" x 8" Setup. I believe they are a 245 Setup on all 4. I brought them through my parts department at work. It was a winter wheel package BMW had put together.

Great work! And some excellent choices in detailing products. I'm glad you've seen the light in the fact that Zaino is old hat. I love Power Lock, my favorite sealant by far.

PS: like the winter wheels. My mother has the same ones on her 335i, but in matte black:
