Yes, by all means keep it in the bank, earn practically zero on your money, and let inflation eat it away.
I understand what you're trying to say, that no way no how are you buying stocks right now, but you just didn't do a great job of saying it.

Then buy bonds, gold, silver...and or convert all your US dollars to foreign denominated currencies. QE3 and the Mexican peso becomes worth more than the dollar....hyperinflation sets in...Russia...all over again...etc etc
