wheel identification csl varient?
I understand the 8Jx18EH2+ which I was able to gather from another thread. (18x8's with 30mm offset)
However I cant find a match for this type of wheel which I understand to be oem(?) I even looked at all these types https://bimmertips.com/oem-bmw-wheel...-number-guide/ but cant find an exact match. Are these knock off wheels? Thanks for any help. |

That part number 6-775-991 shows it's an OEM wheel.
36-11-6-775-991. BMW Style 238 from 5 series.

Yeah, BMW is weird about putting part numbers on parts as they usually just put the uniqueID only. For this, 36 is the main group number, and I just dug around to see see what was the subgroup. There doesn't seem to be a revision number on this part. Here is the part number naming convention for BMW parts: Code:
Main Group number (2) - Sub Group Number ( 2) - ID (7) - Revision (2) Code:
BMW TIS Groups 01 Technical Literature 02 Scopes of Service and repair work (new category) 11 Engine Mechanical 12 Engine Electrical 13 Fuel Injection 16 Fuel Supply 17 Cooling System 18 Exhaust 21 Clutch 22 Engine and gearbox suspension 23 Standard Transmission 24 Automatic Transmission 25 Gearshift 26 Drive Shaft 27 Transfer case 28 Dual Clutch Transmission 31 Front suspension 32 Steering components 33 Rear suspension 34 Braking components 35 Pedals 36 Wheels 41 Bodywork 51 Vehicle trim 52 Seats 54 Sunroof/Convertible top 61 Body Electrical 62 Instrument Cluster 63 Lighting 64 Climate control 65 Audio, navigation, and electronic systems 66 Distance systems and cruise control 67 Window motors on newer BMW's (does not display in ETK but is a grouping number for parts) 71 Equipment parts 72 Restraint systems 82 Universal Accessories 84 Communication systems 88 BMW specific tools Here is a breakdown link: https://blog.fcpeuro.com/understandi...mbering-system

This is a good website to look up OEM specs and wheels styles. They arent too up to date on the newer stuff but have quite a bit
