ZR1
My local dealer received their first of three ZR1 Corvettes. It was pre-sold but I had to go take a look just for fun. Beautiful car but I still like my M3.

So, so sexy. I must admit, I wouldn't trade my M3 for a GTR, 997 CS2, or a Z06, but I'd give it up for a ZR1 (or an R8 or GT2) in a hearbeat.

I'd do it in less than a heart beat
My question is, if GM can make a car as great as the ZR1, WTF happened to the rest of their cars?! Even the Volt is now a SNAFU... |

No actually just practical. A few months ago my business partner (who has a C6 Z06) and I offered them list price for the other 2 they have coming. They wanted $40K over list for each. Then right after I bought my M3 they called and had a change of heart. Guess they aren't flying off the lot at above list. And regardless it's still just a Chevy. It'll run like crazy but the interior is still pretty chintzy. Having read through the dealer's service guidelines manual it seems pretty fragile as well. It also statements has about denying warranty claims if the car had been tracked!

The reasons I like the ZR1 over the Z06 have nothing to do with the engine. Both are great cars, however.

Especially when you could buy a Z06 at $11K off of sticker.

I'd take an ///M3 over a ZR1 as well. The ZR1 seems to be one hell of a car, but it isn't what I'd spend my hard earned dollar on. ...and what's with the denial of warranty thing? At this rate, buying a performance car (..and...gasp!.....asking it to perform) will be pointless. |

Saw one in person a few weeks ago, black just like the pictures. The car is badass in the performance category, but in the looks department not so much. To me the interior looked just like a stock Vette. Am I the only one who thinks the see-through hood is cheesy?!

Amazing performance. Aside from that only a manufacturer like Chevy would offer chrome wheels for their performance flagship. You can't get much more cheezy than that.
