Rubber compound. The AD08-R's are an updated version that is replacing the AD08's.

I want to hear your opinion on the grip lvls. Im at 255/35 F and 295/30 R. I want to switch to 275/35 rear, but i'm worried i wont have enough grip out back with teh 585 kit.

Very nice. I was looking at these to replace my stock tires when they wear out. Will either go these or the Michelins PSS. Looking forward to seeing what you think.

I wouldn't use the AD08R over the Michelins. Just my opinion though.

I think it depends on priorities. The AD08R is focused on dry grip, and is more durable in a track situation. The PSS goes for more balance between wet and dry, and is primarily a street tire rather than straddling the line between street and track. Most people will have a clear preference based on use and driving conditions.

First impressions, they look absolutely amazing and grip well in a straight line. With the stock conti3s I would get excessive wheel spin in 1st (7k-8k)and would spin going into 3rd. With the ad08r the car barely spins in 1st. I haven't tried it through the corners but am certain it'll do well.

Although they look amazing, I'm rubbing hardcore in the front at full lock and both rear tires are rubbing against the fender. So, if you plan on slamming the car with 12mm front/10mm rear spacers you will rub.

Tomorrow I'm going to either raise the rear and get a new alignment or remove the rear spacers.

exactly

it is irritating for people to just blindly suggest PSS without having any clue on how the tires will be used. the PSS are great street tires that can handle some minor track work if needed. they are not a substitute for a true extreme summer tire or a true track tire.

no, the common +1 fitment (IMO only should be used on 9/10 inch wheels like zcp, not 220m) is 255/35 and 275/35. stock is 245/35 and 265/35

I agree, the PSS is a great all around street tire and a fairly good wet track tire. However, it does wear/melt/chunk pretty fast on a dry track.

Is the AD08R considered an R-compound tire? Is it as actual replacement for the AD08 or a more track oriented variant?
