Yea if you're that concerned about launching your car, tearing up the drive train and destroying your differential is a real possibility. Our cars we're designed as drag racers and I can see repeated launches could do some serious damage as the OP has experienced.

Mods: merge threads if you can.

This is really unfortunate. If indeed your diff did fails for some freak reason, you are going to have a bit of an uphill battle convincing folks due to the past threads and your dodgy demeanor here (even though both have reasonable explanations).
