Would you add any oil??

Hi guys, I changed my oil post storage and I let it drain for an hour. Now after adding 8.8l of oil this is the reading...
Would you guys add or leave it be??

I went for a 60km drive and reset the reading at idel twice with same results.

your forgot to attach the reading...
i would add a bit of oil if its under the level and always keep one liter in the trunk just incase. Also check under the car and around the engine for oil if everything is clean just add some oil.

if its low be cautious about only adding a small amount at a time or it will then say overfull. my e46 had this weird thing under the hood that has oil on the end of it?

Pretty sure I've never seen my oil level that low, so yes I would add oil.

I'm thinking the same thing... I change it every 5000kms at the dealer and they've always added 8.5L and seen a reading in between the two upper marks.

This time I let it drain for about an hour so I added 250ml more than usual, yet the reading is really low...

I was convinced this car took 9L to fill...

add a quarter at most then reassess. i had warning of 1 qt low and added about a 3rd qt and then it told me overfull

That's what i'm worried about.
I have a 1400km road trip planned next week so I might just keep a some oil in the trunk in case I get the add message.

This. I only ever add 250mls at a time regardless to whether the oil indicator is at the minimum point or at the 1/4 fill mark. So 250mls then check, then another 250mls if necessary until the indicator shows half or over half, then I stop.

yep give it a few key cycles and reading before you decide it needs more.

no more than quarter of a bottle... And give it some time to get a 2nd and 3rd reading. I wouldn't add, it's not technically low yet.

i wouldn't add anything, in fact mine is at that level right now. If it's in between the two arrows and it says "OK", then leave it alone.
