LOL i'm way past that if it makes you feel better. I'm finishing up with my suspension upgrades, done with performance mods, wheels and tires, and just have some cosmetic stuff left to go.

And how would you know about my cayman? I haven't posted a pic on here or anywhere since I've gotten it and I don't even have tints. Maybe you're confusing me with someone else? Since when would an e90 with JB4, AR DP's, and a BOV give you such as ego to pick me out?

I'm about 250 miles into the revised dpfix, so far no codes! I definitely second your recommendation for this dpfix.

I'm just assuming because that seems like the type of person you are. You know, the one who refers to a cayman with dinky mods to be a "modded p-car." But hey, lets not start a fight
Anyways, I'm guessing the ego came along when Brembos, KW V3's, an AMS intercooler, Stett charge pipe, MS wheel studs, Apex Arc 8's, Hankook RS3's, and a methanol injection among a few other things came into play... Full build thread coming soon

That's awesome, i'm glad you're enjoying your car. Nice mods.

I'm not sure how you can learn about the type of person someone is through reading a few of their posts on a car forum. And I hope you can agree not to judge the type of person someone is by the mods on their car, dinky or not. I enjoy it and i'm lucky to have what I have, and that's all that matters. For what its worth, instead of buying more "dinky" mods, I have spent that money buying a house and applying to medical school. Guess we all have own priorities, and i'm glad you're enjoy yours as well.

Anyways, I hope this thread can stay on topic and hope to hear more updated if this BMS-fix continues to work down the line. If you have any more questions or comments, please PM me so this thread can stay OT.

Well for the record ( and to all the a-holes who chastised me) I took off my cat less xpipe with o2 extenders and never had a cel. Ever. As said before a mechanical fix can work if done correctly. I had thousands of miles with 00 cels and I know others have as well using o2 extenders or anti foulers.

that being said, the BMS fix will def work as it is a electrical patch, 02 simulator.
But regardless of the vehicle, a mechanical o2 extender is just that, mechanical. It works by pulling the 02 sensor just far our enough of the normal path of exhaust flow, therbly creating a false reading (as it is now only pulling a portion of the original measured exhaust).
For those who are skeptics, buy the uber expensive Akra Delet-R..
For those mechanically inclined, try the 02 extenders, they work you just need the correct lenght to alter the reading to not draw a CEL; (they can be lenghtened or shortened)

***my sig pic is my old e46, I currently own an e90 m3 with lots of work done to it, all performed by me. My hobby has been building/working on cars since I was very little, and have owned over @ 25cars.

SO YES< FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE; THESE WORK FOR ME!!
Can you give us the exact length you used to get it to work for you? This might be helpful info.

I have first hand experience using the Vibrant L shaped mechanical 02 simulators, and can say they do not work on a catless x-pipe in an E9X M3. I also have first hand experience using the Burger down pipe fix and can say it works on a catless x-pipe in an E9X M3.

The only report I have read of the mechanical simulator working on these cars is from the poster above.

LOL another smart ass. Go ahead. Make fun of of a cayman. At the end of the day, i'm still the guy laughing because you're not the one smart enough to read the next post saying that the car also has wheels, suspension and performance mods and does not even have tints. And you're trying to educate me on what a p-car is when you do not even know how to spell "cayman"? Guess what, you just made my day too.

But please, educate me. Since a the carrera GT, 968, 914, or 928's are not 911's, and you insist that a p-car is a 911, do you not consider them a p-cars either? Please tell me; you have the chance to make my day even better.

You never have enough, do you?
Just stop it. You are causing an argument and making a fool of yourself. Go and conduct your antics elsewhere, the forum is not the right place for such nonsense

As I mentioned twice before and will again, I hope to keep this thread OT.

PM sent.

Mine has probably been on for 6 months. No issues until yesterday, when I got an increased emissions code after doing a bunch of 60-130 runs. I could probably adjust the BMS device by one notch. I think my original setting was the middle or one higher than the middle so there is room for further adjustment. I reset the code.

I got mine, have been running it for about 500 miles with my turner test pipes.

I got CELs at 5 o'clock on the trimpot (recommended setting), 4 o'clock, now at 2:30 and no CELs yet in 500 miles, I guess my car needed a bit more strength for some reason.

I have just had the one CEL in 7 months. Have not changed the adjustment on the Burger DP Fix, but may if I get another CEL.
