Unhappy Please come in and show your Support: ML63 AMG crash

sorry for the OT, but:

The owner, i know relatively well. He was racing a Porsche 997TT in the center of Sofia, in rush hour... He lost control and hit 2 more cars, injuring at least 8 people.

6 are in hospital. My thoughts go out to them

Pray that everyone escapes unharmed.

Thank you

My prayers are with everyone that was involved. My wife and I were in two severe accidents, they are horrible.

I don't mean to sound unsympathetic, but I hope this taught your friend a lesson.

I hope everyone who was not at fault comes out OK from all of this. As for you're friend, he shouldn't be racing in rush hour or on a crowded roadway.

If he comes out of this mess not so great, if the injured take him to the cleaners, chances are he deserves it.

That's not even a worthwhile race, an ML63 V. 997TT. I hope everyone turns out OK. Did your friend go to the hospital too? His car doesn't look that bad.

I hope everyone in this accident turns out ok, nobody deserves death in my mind.

Ive got to say, ive seen some serious accidents, and MB definatly takes the cake for the safest cars on the market....

pity, what a nice car.

I realise that your thoughts are quite naturally with your friend, and it goes without saying that our thoughts and prayers are with all of the injured.

However, I have to say that I hope that punitive action is taken against both your friend and the Porsche driver. Racing any vehicle on public roads at any time is foolhardy. Whilst there are times and places that make such acts less dangerous (but never safe) doing so during rush hour is tantamount to looking for an accident. Sadly in this case, the stupidity of two persons has resulted in the injury of at least 6 innocent persons severe enough to place them in hospital. With the proliferation of track days and drag strips running open days there can be no excuse for racing on the public roads.

Whilst the above will no doubt make some think me a sanctimonious &^%$, and that is your right and prerogative, let's all take a moment to consider our driving and how it may effect others. The car is nothing short of a lethal weapon, something that we would all do well to remember when we drive. The proliferation of safety aids makes us feel secure, but what of pedestrians, cyclists and other road users? How long before we hear of a real kill story?
