Yeah, they are the cheapest alloy 18" TireRack had and recommended for their M3 winter package! Not bad!

Not at all, I'd drive it all day, everyday! Durring the summer I enjoy on a Sunday washing and detailing my M3 when I don't have much else going on but durring the winter, it's a pain in the ass having to wash and detail in the cold. I spend enough hours working in the wet/cold that I'd rather not bother with it. The truth is that I can't let my ride go for a week or more with road grime, mud, rain spots, pebbles in the cabin, dust, etc. I'm crazy like that. But the beater, I don't give a hoot about. hell I paid $500 for the 318 and everything works and past inspection!! I'm just trying to pro-long it's life I guess.

I'd probebly be even more annul retentive if I was driving a F430 Ferrari or something.

I've never had a car look bad after even 4 winters. Will it have some tiny marks? Of course! All cars do. Do you ever track your car? That will kill it even more..Do you drive on the highway? Oh no, the small pebbles! Or do you just drive it at 5mph to show it off.

Here's my car parked in the garage at work after going through the recent snow storm. Love it! It's been driven. I'll wash it when the snow goes away and then drive it again. Keep driving it. Not looking at it. All that dirt and grime you see washes away. A good wax job after winter takes car of any small nicks. Which you'd get anyway in normal driving...Also that initial snow that covered the car, protects it from from chips, etc. It's like the first layer. If you wash it too frequently, the car will chip and scratch a LOT worse. Just like if you wash your hands like an OCD person, you'll never have immunity..
A dirty M3 is a loved M3. I bought my M3 to drive. While I really like the way it looks, I really love driving the car. My car lives my life which isn't always easy or clean. I'm a general contractor and while I try to avoid getting into too bad a spot, my car need to occasionally drive through unpaved lots, snow, ice, NYC roads, etc. So far my M3 seems very happy to keep up with me. It is definitely a car that wants to be driven.

Amazing!! I would feel bad if my car were covered in snow like that, but then again, it is not a matter of choice.

I almost cried when I saw this.

Glad to see you are enjoying the M as a DD. Personally, I get an 8 ft tree every year and just rent a U-haul for $20 and deliver trees to everyone on my street. The couple of extra bucks is worth not cleaning the sap and needles.

Loving that picture!

I don't get my M3 till Mid April but I'm hoping there's still some snow left for me to introduce it to. I love winter driving. Since we have 6 months of winter up here, I can't stand to have anything that sits in the garage doing nothing for 6 months.
