Comiserations Dee. You really have joined the old farts club! I guess once you reach your Carlesberg years you stop yearning for the ultimate driving machine and switch to the people that took down Chrysler.
I am looking forward to seeing you take the letters of the sidewalls on this beast. LOL.

Very nice. If I was getting a hardtop I think I would have gone the same direction after many years with BMW. However, I had decided this year we were going back to a vert. Merc only has the E Class in a 4 seater vert albeit a very nice car and priced very well against the competition,it is cruiser.
Enjoy the wheels! |

I don't believe they have had a lot of issues at all. I know of many without any issues. However, the issue they have it is a useable boot. Audi and Merc both have gone back to a supper quiet soft top, extremely fast up and down and the almost 80% of the trunk is useable versus less than 50% in the BMW. I would have loved to see the soft top now but in the long run I might be better of with the retractable hard top in GTA. I pick up mine tomorrow morning.

I ordered a M3 E93 (DCT), 19" Wheels with every option possible (no boxes left to select).
Individual Color - Azurite Black with Fox Red Interior (Not extended) and Piano Black Trim. I have a few small projects planned once I break in the M, working with IND and Dinan. For the exterior (all from IND - thanks for the help Nate) I am replacing the yellow reflectors with Azurite reflectors, replecing the front and side grill with Edition Black and adding the VRS painted front poly lip. As for performamnce mods, I have decided to work with Dinan locally here (Budds BMW Dinan - Tks Brent and Ted) in the Toronto area. I am set up to add the Underdrive Crankshaft Pulley, High Flow Intake, Free Flow Exhaust and finally the Software Tune. Nothing too major but a good start for my first time doing mods since I was a kid working on my 1972 Ford Capri-build and designed in Germany of course(many years ago). |

No issues at all whatsoever with mine and its running strong and coming up to its 2 year anniversary...anywho congrats on the new ride... So Dee, Im confused now...when you wanted the M3 you wanted 6 speed and no DCT strictly, and now you settled for a slush box... |

If you want a four door (and you are ageing) then the merc is a consideration, but really the M3 coupe is a gorgeous car ... sorry the C looks a little like a taxi to me (have you been to Munich lately )... sorry not.

I hope not.The soft roofs kept my wife out of both the E550 & S5 cabs. Our last 7 cabs have been folding hardtops. Our 2007 335 had a few minor rattle issues when it was new and other than that was great!
