Where is the best place to purchase Dinan springs?

You can check local dealerships that are authorized Dinan Centers. Otherwise your best bet would probably be going straight through them

Always buy Dinan through a dealer.

Dinan doesn't want to compete with its dealers for the same business, so they'll charge full retail. Any discount that you see on the Dinan site can be had through a dealer. I use Co's BMW in Colorado and receive discounts in addition to the published discounts, when they do the install. One dealer is not supposed to ship into another dealer's territory, so Co's only makes sense for those that live near it, but you should shop around in your geographic area for the best overall deal for parts and installation.

Some may want a more aggressive drop. The Dinans are great because there will be fewer warranty issues, but with such a mild drop there probably wouldn't be problems anyway.

Yes, I am one who like a more aggressive drop. But I also dont want the dealership hassles with warranty. Im not against any of the other spring manufacturers. Still may go with one of them myself

From everything I have read Dinan enhances handling whereas the other springs may or may not enhance handling. Dinan's white paper on the stock amount of spring travel and how they keep .5 inches of travel and still provide .5 inches of drop makes sense to me. I don't need the slammed look and I would like to have peace of mind with warranty issues. My E90 already is fairly low so .5 inches in front and back should be good. I am not 100% committed to these, Eibach would be my other choice, but I am 75% there. I would rather not spend this much money on just springs, I had GC coilovers on my E36, but I like EDC and I think Dinan is and will shape up to be the best option in the long run.

I agree. I am still leaning towards Dinan but am doing other things first

I have the Dinan springs and love the slight drop as well as the performance upgrade. If you are looking just to drop the car please don't consider the dinan springs. If you truly want a drop without compromising performance go with a coilover system.

Not really. Dinan's give you an increased spring rate and a slight drop (0.5 inches front and rear) without compromising the stock setup.
Dropping the car >0.5 inches will help with lower center of gravity, but the performance will be compromised. To lower the car beyond what the stock setup can do, you have to go with coilovers to do it properly.

The performance gains with the Dinan Stage I setup are real while maintaining a compliant ride, but with significant more control than the stock springs. I haven't bottomed them yet after about 400 miles of driving. I can still go over small speedbumps without slowing in either Comfort or Normal EDC setting. I don't use Sport because of the static, passive nature of that setting, although I'll try it on a run or two at an autocross later this month.

There are no strange noises or bottoming. The ride stays great, but the car is more stable at speed, including bumpy, high speed corners.

Most likely a lower drop, particularly without the travel enhancing parts of the Dinan kit, will reduce handling in many circumstances. If you want a no compromise handling car, then go to coilovers. Dinan is a great answer for those wanting improved handling while maintaining a compliant street ride.
