The P40s look perfect on the M. I like the black finish as well. I have Brushed P40s and the Vorsteiner rear lip coming in a few weeks from Julius and the gang at WheelSTO. I highly recommend WheelSTO for anyone interested in basically any mod for their M. They have it all!

Thanks Greg. I didn't see post #13. Did he mention the size of the tire on the front rim ?

Thanks Again

Also, there is no doubt that it affects the handling of the car, not only because in most cases the rims are heavier, but also they tend to run much lower profile tyres which are less compliant and feel a bit like the run flats on non-M cars.

Of course this is also style dependent. Deep dish, 3 piece rims tend to look smaller anyway and possibly better in 20, but one piece rims with the spokes extending right to the outer edge of the rim look right in the 19” size.

All IMO of course and each to his own.

Mick
I agree with everything you say. However, I was solely talking about cosmetic appeal and performance aside. If I was going to track I would slap on a set of 18's or 19's but for the street and just to cruise around I would prefer 20's. The way I look at it is if the GTR can run 20's without compromising handling and not having to worry about bending the rim than maybe I can run a set too? I know both cars have different purposes but im just talking about daily cruising.

Tires are 255/30 front and 285/30 rear.
HRE did a good job of designing them with 9" fronts and 10.5" rears.
That really allows you to put some good amount of rubber all around for better traction, especially the front.

On the 19's i know that 275 and 315 work on the E90. that's a lot of rubber.

those wheels are very light even in the 20" ... abt 2x ib per wheels. and performance wise. with the Nitto INVO tire. its amazing on traction and cornering.

Wheels are indeed really hot. Finally a wheel that truly matches the M3. Great color as well. Are you running spacers? I concur with a few of the others that the 20s are too large and the rear tires look pretty over stretched.

Honestly, that is far from what I would consider "very light." Volk CE28N's at 18x9.5 weigh 16.5lbs each, now that is light. Out of curiosity, how much do the tires weigh? As mentioned before, I am sure you didn't buy these wheels for performance purposes anyway!

Yeah, you are right i didnt buy the wheels for Performance but for appearance. like a dress shoe more than a athletic shoes. I am not sure about the tire weight. but def its some improvement over the Toyo tire i had before.

The "next mod" will look beautiful on the car, Ernest. If only we could tell people what it is. I guess it's better to keep some suspense going.
