+1

Can you also explain how the entertainment works. And specifically if you know whether it will void any type of dealer warranty?

A dealer or BMWNA can say ANYTHING voids a warranty. There are provisions to protect consumers and manufacturers from car makers blanketly saying everythign voids the warranty but 9 times out of 10 they'll have more money to fight the fight and you'll just end up more out of pocket.

Basically, if you're truly worried about any part of your warranty, don't mod anything until the warranty is up.

Am I the kid or the car?

The kit is not for the feint of heart. It takes a decent amount of time and you have to take basically the whole dash apart, iDrive screen out, stereo and climate controls out, glove box out. Its a lot of work, but well worth it!

Pretty simple, for the rear cam, you put the car in reverse, and for the other sources, AV1 and AV2 you just pres and hold the menu button on the iDrive controls for 2 seconds and it switches inputs. hit any other button and it goes back to iDrive.

That is insane. I don't even know how that works, but it's crazy. What does the switch look like?
