Are lowering springs rice/cheap?
Hey everyone,
Lately have been getting the itch to get wheels/tires, so springs are necessary for the best look. What's holding me back is spending large amounts for proper coilovers or sleeves, with no intention of every adjusting ride height. Now springs are very affordable and get the job done, but it is so difficult to get over the notion and memories of lowering cars with springs in the fast and furious days. Is it possible to retain close to OEM as possible with an improved look? I don't want to sacrifice any aspect of the car, so the only way I am switching is if EDC and all stock functionality is all retained. Will dealers give you hassle for a lowered car with extended warranty? That is a main concern as well. Thanks! |

Rice
Anytime you mod the car the dealer can hassel you over the components you've modified. Or try to draw a line to the mods as the reason for your issue. In the end, its a crap shoot. |

there is noting rice about spring (unless your the guy that cuts his springs lol). get a good set and call it done if your not tracking the car. Eibach, h&r would both be fine choices.

Stock suspension is coilover suspension. (Well, at the front anyway)
The stock shocks are very good, so paired with a decent set of springs, like Eibachs, you can achieve a very good set up for not too much financial outlay. Nothing rice about that. |

Got Eibach and love mine. IF anything I wish they were lower so Swift may be a good shot if you're thinking Eibach is too high.
Although, it is nice not worrying about scraping/slamming anywhere. It is an expensive car after all (compared to my e46 325 :P)

I have stock with EDC, but when i'm reading on here reviews (threads) with Swift/R spec springs vs stock it seems Swift springs are the winner in handling and looks (stance) is way better too ?
