Keyfob CA works but unlock/lock buttons don't?

Every thread I search seems to either have both the CA and buttons not working and is usually fixed by replacing the battery. Well I replaced my dead battery today and the key less start + comfort access features are working. But the unlock/lock buttons on the key do not. Any ideas?

Stick it in the slot for a drive

Sounds like you need to re-pair your key with the car. Check YouTube for videos based on your model year. It's very easy to do yourself.
