HANS - Quick Click or Posts?

I've decided to get a HANS and was wondering which anchor style people suggest?

Thanks.

I have the quick release connectors, but I never use them. I suppose if I had a crew helping, I'd use them more, but since I'm usually getting ready alone, I just keep helmet and HANS connected and put them on connected.

I've got the posts on my helmet, and find that getting the hans on and off of it is pretty easy. I'm able to get in and out of our car with the helmet and hans on, so exiting the car in an emergency is a non-issue. Even with gloves on, I have no problem clipping the helmet on/off the hans posts.

If you find it difficult to get out of the car with your helmet and hans on, then the quick click system is the way to go, since it makes disconnecting the hans from your helmet a simple tug of the tethers. You do need to be a little careful when putting your harness and hans on to make sure the tethers don't get caught anywhere (and thus get pulled inadvertently), but otherwise, they're easy to use as well.

I have the quick connects and wish I had just gotten the posts, but I'm in an open cockpit now. Don't get me started on wishing I didn't have to buy a stupid HANS to begin with which requires a halo seat or equivalent to provide side impact protection...

good point. i think there is minimum value when using a hans without an appropriate seat, and proper harnesses! i have seen setups where quick fit style harnesses dont even fit over the hans. :/

I'll be using it with my schroth quick fit pro which is designed specifically to work with a HANS.

HANS w posts with the Schroth QuickFit Pro. I connect the helmet to the HANS at the start of the day, and then put them on/take them off as a unit outside the car.
