So my brother used my Driver's License and got 2 Speeding Tickets with in 6months

He has no driver's license and does NOT have a copy of mine, apparently he tells the Cops that he left his wallet at home and he lives far from me and YET they believe him... We have the same 1st name... Don't want to send him to jail... So...

Your brother is a piece of shit. Protecting someone who was willing to fuck you over to protect himself is not someone worth helping.

Too many times do family members think they need to be loyal to each other for the sole purpose that they are family. Pay the tickets. Deal with the consequences. Tell him he is dead to you.

When would he have stopped saying he was you? When he killed someone with the car?

I meet two twin bothers this summer and their nut parents name them the same and for legal reasons they just added a middle initial which was different. So these two walk around and any time you call their name they both respond. Some parents are just nuts doing this to the kid.

To the op, here is what you do, go to the officer who wrote the ticket and asked they how they issues a ticket to a person without a license and used your name. The police are required to see ID, without the ID then he should also gotten another ticket for driving without his license. The problem you might have is your bother probably looks close enough to you and the officer will think it is you anyway.

Like others have said, if he is using your information for tickets and getting away with it, he will begin doing it with other things as well. This could be just the beginning of your problems.

TBH, sending him to jail is the only thing that is going to get him to stop. He obviously has no respect for you and had no problem stealing your identity and having you deal with the consequences. He's going to continue to drive without a license and if he ever gets in trouble he'll just pretend to be you again. I don't care if they are family or not, I would no longer associate myself with him. Do something about this while it's only "small" things like speeding tickets. If you let him continue this crap it's going to end up being something much larger and depending on what his dumb ass does it might affect your criminal record and fuck you over real good for life.

BTW was your brother using your car? I'd try to fight it and say it was someone else. Especially if he was cited twice in the same vehicle.

This is good advise, usually the ticket lists the car, and if you go to court and say this is not your car and you never been in that town and you never driven that car and they issue you a ticket which it was not you.

I actually heard of a few cases where someone's ID was stolen and the person had DL issued to them their picture and the stolen person's name and such on the license. Over a period of time that person got a number of ticket and the person who's Identity was stolen got their license suspend and was arrested when they were stop for a traffic violation. It took them forever to get it all sorted out.

It is not a good idea having someone using your name like this especially in this day. I am not sure if your bother could get a license with your name and his picture on it. In PA when you get your license they will not issue a new photo license until two weeks after you get the your picture taken. They now run your picture through a national photo ID database to make sure your picture does not show up on another ID with a different name.
