I'm big on keeping OEM wheels on. Don't really care for any aftermarket wheels, but I'd buy these!

Well, Jim (extension 364) from Tire Rack just called me back...Before I post the weight info let me say the reason Tire Rack doesn't list weigh info on their website until it actually arrives is because sometimes manufacturers info isn't accurate (like I said earlier). With that in mind, Breyton said they weigh ~20/21 pounds front/rear...Tire Rack just weighed them this morning & they each weigh 26.5/27.5 pounds. Besides the rear using spacers, I really like these wheels. I knew it was too good to be true for a $300 USD 19" wheel to weigh ~20 pounds, oh well. Props to Tire Rack for a quick response though.

If that is accurate it clearly isnt as light as Breyton told me. Then again, it isnt that heavy that, for road wheels, you would notice. Certainly a lot better than most wheels and probably only bettered by BBS wheels.

Having had CHs on my TT for 2 years and not fancying LMs as they have been done to death, I think I'll stick with the Breytons. I have the OEM 18s for track so thats fine.

Thanks for the info

That's as accurate as can be since Tire Rack is very reputable in the U.S. especially since they measured it themselves. I agree, everyone & their mom has LM's. You're welcome.

My thoughts exactly. I am surprised that Breyton is misinforming people regarding this. Why?

Looking at the wheels, there is quite a bit of metal in them. That weight is about the same as the stock 18" E46 M3 wheels. For a 19" cast it is not bad, pretty average.

The forged RAC RG4s I posted in the other thread are about 2# lighter each. They're also 1/2" wider and a lot stronger, I'm sure. No, a couple pounds in not a lot for the street. If you add spacers, remember those are not exactly light and will add to unsprung weight, though.

Spacers aren't exactly heavy either. I can't see how their weight impact would be more than negligible.

10 mm will run over 1 1/2#, including the longer lug bolts. True, they don't add much rotational weight because of their small diameter, but not negligible.

IMHO, it's an avg weight for 19's. FWIW, the spacers for the rears are 20mm each if it matters. 20 pounds vs 27 pounds is a huge difference (at least to me it is). Regardless of weight, still a good looking wheel.

I dont like those RAC ones tbh, nowt wrong with em, just not my taste.

Breytons it is, be fine. On UK roads I'll struggle to use the M to its full potential anyway. It's either jammed or when it's clear you darent go mental for fear of GATSOs or plods with nowt better to do than point radar guns at you.

Seen as the stock 18s and michelins are there for track use when I'll be able to play with the car, I think the combination of breytons for road and stock for track will work just fine.

Does anyone know what the specs are for the 20's?

I dont know where to find the sizes/offsets for them. Tire rack lists nothing, and breyton's german site lists nothing for the GTS.

Wow, this thread is more than 2 years old, and it's still alive?

Anyway, I'd just call tirerack for the info.

I love the OEM 19 inch. I wish I didn't lightly curb my front right I want to get a new set so I can powder coat a set.

For something that looks similar, these B9's are by far the lightest. 20 and 21 LBS
These are 20X9 and 20X10.5 with NO SPACERS Not sure if 19's are available

I have a set of black 19s for road and have done 22000 miles on them. I use OEM 18s for track.

Cant tell the difference with either set on under light or hard driving. The Breytons are neither the lightest nor heaviest but frankly, in my experience having run BBS CHs on my last car, weight wise unless they are real lardy buggers, you wont notice.

Must say my BBS CHs were better quality in terms of the finish though. The Breytons are fine, the BBS were just excellent.
