I had my AA exhaust installed by Active. They charged 1 hr of labor at , I think it was $102. I'm sure you can get it done cheaper, I wanted to have the manufacturer install it since they're close to my house.

It's just a muffler, take your time and you will be fine. I don't pay anyone to work on my car (aside from coding).

1hr should be plenty with a lift.

If you have a friend, it is not hard at all. By yourself; be careful of the weight and awkwardness of the stock setup.

For an x-pipe install I was given estimates of $100 (indie shop, 1 hr) to "at least $500" (from the dealer...) Going to try it myself.

i'd say this was probably the easiest thing i've done to my car, took about 15 minutes to take the stock pile of crap off the car and drag its heavy ass out. maybe another 20 to hang the new one. you need a crescent wrench, a socket wrench and a couple of drive-up ramps. maybe a big piece of cardboard to make it a little more comfortable to move around. man was this an easy job though.

since you r from canada, calgary. most shop will charge you at least 1.5hr labor for the installation. that's the world you r living . States will be whole lot cheaper on these type of job.

if you have access to the lifter, it will be a lot easier.

DIY, it's easy. Every enthusiast should do at least some of their own work IMO and this is a good place to start.
