HFC
Question I have some race pipes on my M with only resonators and no cats thinking of getting some HFC put on and wondering if it makes a difrence open to some info and types of HFC thanks in advance

i had RD Sport catless system and it was too loud and heaps of drone (Gintani race loud), so i installed 2 x Magnafolw 200 cell cat on the secondary cat position to reduce the noise level and they work really well slightly deeper exhaust tone and almost zero drone.
Very minimum power drop imo, if any. Hope it helps. |

I was catless with my AA exhaust and switched to HFC. I like the exhaust tone better, no smell and only lost a little power in the upper rev range. Plus gained a little torque down low. Perfect trade off for me.

Did you get the HFC strait from magna flow or another vendor I seen that one and was actually looking at those what did they run you if u don't mind me asking

Just FYI you do not lose any power from a catless setup. You gain power throughout the band but especially up top. you never lose power which is a frequent misconception with the "lack of back pressure equals loss of low end torque".. just does not work like that.

+1. My dyno comparisons didn't show any "dip" in the torque curve because I changed from HFC to catless. Only a vertical shift to show a change in power.
