Very clean looking! I like the sharper features over the rounded look of the last 2 generations.

I like that a lot.

Bentleyesque' seats look great. Much richer looking interior than the past models.

Interior looks much, much better than before, whether it's material quality is actually better won't be known until we see it but the perception is this is the case. Externally the ML was always a fine looking SUV and it's good to see that Mercedes haven't tweaked the basic formula too much.

Hope they figured out how to assemble cars in Alabama. Our ML500 was a complete rattle trap. At 2500 miles I couldn't stand it any longer and dumper it.

interior is nice, but its not standard, meaning base model wont look like that. not sure about exterior, have to see it in person.

Interesting. Our ML had some initial small reliablility issues but it has not had one rattle in over 2 years. It has been overall, much more solid and reliable than our newer X5.

The front ends are not a design choice of MB (or other manufacturers for that matter) but a necessity due to the new bumper/pedestrian safety regulations that have been implemented in Europe.

Looks really good. The front is a bit Audi-like with all the different grille sections ... which is OK.

The rear end looks much better than the current ML. I think the current ML looks strange from the rear, like it's sagging.

Interior looks nice. Yeah that quilted interior definitely won't be standard.

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

More pics and info here: http://www.leftlanenews.com/mercedes-benz-m-class.html

They mention the off road package for "certain markets." I'm going to guess and say probably not the US market. There's no such option on the current 2011 model but there is in the ROW.

Otherwise it looks great and with some really good improvements over the outgoing version. Porsche needs to offer an oil burner to round off its Cayenne portfolio. Then the choices in diesel will be complete in this segment (ML, X5, Cayenne.)

About the ML63, it was rumored to have been killed off with the 2011 model, but it survived. No word on the 2012 yet. But the question is whether it'll keep the 6.2 or go to the 5.5.
