color question: Jerez Black

Hello, I am new here.

I have a question regarding Jerez Black. I searched/saw the Jerez Black thread and view all the pictures but I still have a question regarding the blue hue/tint/shades of jerez black.

how noticable is the bluish tint/hue? Is it only viewable in direct sunlight? all the pictures of Jerez Black that I saw in this forum looks like jet black to me.

also..what is more bluish...carbon black (e46 M3) or Jerez Black?

Carbon black is more bluish than Jerez.

Jerez looks blue and black in the sun and simply black in low light

It's pretty blue in the FL sun... But it looks great at night.

Looks black unless hit with direct sun, then you see the blue and even purple sparkles in it. I LOVE this color.

I've owned a Carbon Black e46 and now a Jerez e92. Both colors are very similar. In my opinion, Carbon Black has more of a purple hue on cloudy days, but in the sunlight, both colors are amazing. Jerez has a very nice deep blue that you have to see in person to appreciate. Yes, at night Jerez looks like Jet Black, but black looks best at night and with Jerez you get a nice dark blue during the day....so, you're looking good all day and night!

I advise that you try your best to see a color in the flesh before pulling the trigger. Don't rely on pictures on the internet.

All I know is that Jerez looks good when it's clean. But that only last so long though

And it does tend to skew in favor of blue, rather than purple.

Jerez is awesome and I think it looks best on the E90. Wish they still offered Carbon Black too though.

You can kinda see the Blueish to Black transition here. Very cool breakdown of the mixture that makes up Jerez. Hands down, my favorite color in the recent years.

See the pict in my signature. On some light conditions, the blue color really comes out.

Also, (in addition to "sunlight") at night, even parking lot light or building light will bring out the blue color.

IMO its the best color for an E90. If it's your sportscar, maybe you want something that stands out. But if you want a beautiful elegant shy color, this is the one. It looks very aggressive but also keeps the calm look.
