Schroth Quick Fit Pro E90 / E92 question

Looking to get the Schroth Quick Fit Pro for my E90 this season. Question is - Is this the same part as the one for E92/82? I see they have different part numbers. Just wanted to double check.

Thanks,
Dave

There must be a difference or Schroth wouldn't list them that way.
Front to back space to the mounting points/belt lengths etc.

Its best to contact them and ask.

It's definitely different, it's specific to the E90. I have QuickFit Pros in my E90.

At least one difference is the lower outer side belt mounting clips. The E90 and E92 have different mounting points for these. I would call HMS Motorsports if you have any specific questions, that's who I bought mine from when I had them and they easily answered all of my questions. I run 6-points now.

They are different, probably due to the different seat belt mounting positions.

If you want some specifics, try calling Northstar Motorsports -- they're experts with the Schroth stuff.

I had exactly the same question last year. Spoke to HMS Motorsport and they confirmed that E90 harness is quite different (on the outboard lap belt, I believe). So E92/82 set is not compatible with E90s

I use the same set in my e92 that I originally used in my e90 with no change or problem. Call a vendor, but I think they're the same.

Depending on your size the buckle will not center since the outside lap belt is different in length. Sedan belt is bolted down to the seat and coupe is bolted down on a seat belt rail behind the seat.

I have a black E90 QFP that I test fit and never used for sale. $300 shipped if you are interested.

A practical issue is that some track organizations like NASA will only allow 4-point harnesses if they have the model number of your car written on them, so for that alone it pays to have the correct E90 or E92 model.

I think the actual differences are minor and probably functionally negligible.

So NASA will let you use these?

yea I'm confused. One track group I run with says they only allow 4-point if it is "ASM certified". Is there a badge on the Schroth 4-point that shows this, and while model is right for E92 M3?

Just bought an e90 version vs my one from a few years ago which I think were for e92. Interested, the left side lap belt does not use a clip to buckle. It's a clip in type harness which goes to a supplied eye bolt. I like it better because it looks closer to a real harness lol

Most of the track groups up here require 4-points to have ASM technology to be allowed for use...but yes, on one strap of the harness on a black plastic tab, it has the ASM certification for the Schroth Quick Fit Pros.

EDIT: Added pic for reference in my E90...see that black plastic square tab near the harness holes in the seat, that's where the ASM certification is.

dj_dub, nice set up. If I'm allowed I'll run that same thing, I thought that if I have aftermarket race seat, that I would need a harness bar

I spoke to HMS and they didn't have a problem with me going that route with a bride seat. They actually recommended the QFP over the rallye version. I have sub belts on mine with them. They said they can only recommend with the oem seats because those are the only they've tested but nobody thinks an fia certified seat can't withstand the same tests?
