Exclamation First 2010 Lexus RX350 review (with pics)

http://www.leftlanenews.com/lexus-rx-350-review.html

Why you would buy it:
The best-selling vehicle in the Lexus lineup has finally gotten its groove back and you think it’s time for you to do so, too.

Why you wouldn’t:
The family is gone, the dog lives in that great kennel in the sky, and you have your sights on the IS-F instead.

Good:

It looks more updated with current design language, old RX has aged fast.
Big improvement on interior.
Looks cleaner.

Bad:

Until you compare pics it just looks like a facelift.
Front bumper has NO detail and grille looks weird stretched to the headlights.
I still hate Lexus auto transmissions. They look stupid.

I think this might just get away being on the ML level, but the X5-M kills it and has the best design in the class.

Usual bullshit from BMW fanboys. My GF and I went SUV shopping in South Florida during Xmas. First up was the Murano. Nice inside, ugly outside and the ride was just ok. Next, the RX 330. She's in love with it and I was shocked by how amazing the leather seats were. Amazingly comfortable ride. Spacious. Next was the X5.....that lasted about 5 minutes. Sorry to say, but BMW's are overrated and overpriced for what you get compared to those Japanese vehicles. I really wanted a white X6, but why?

This is the first iteration that I personally think is good-looking. Though it's still not for me. The two generations before it always seemed tacked together in some way with odd shapes and cut lines. Not unlike the front of the 6 series IMO.

If those are press release photos, you'd think they'd snap a pic showing a higher avg fuel consumption number.

The RX is a good value play. Lexus successfully cut corners to keep the price down but the cuts are not obvious to the typical buyer which is mostly woman.

Its twin is the Toyota Highlander which is also a good vehicle.

quick question.. Why does every new japanese car look like shit? This is nasty, the 370z, the new tl, the infiniti suv. Do they really lack good designers over there?

Nope, still Camry FWD power train with 5 speed tranny, torque steer, and plenty of roll. You can get AWD though.

But it is targeted at the first time female Luxury SUV buyer.

god it's so ugly. it's a complete chick car through-and-through. i can already imagine tons of teens driving one, as well as soccer moms. the IP's overall layout is the one interesting thing i've managed to find.
