What are the 6 Option Buttons and Rear Fog Lights?

From Left to Right, what are the 6 buttons on the center console just above the ash tray used for?
1. Left Heated seat.
2. P? There's a "P" and is that for hill assist?
3. Rear sun shade?
4. ?
5. ?
6. Right Heated seat.

Also, is there any word if there is a Rear Fog Option for the new E92 M3?

Regards,
Darren

Button 4 is Hill Assist in AWD 3 series cars. But it could be used for something different in an M (?).

Interesting to see the TPMS button next to the lock button on the top of the console. That's the DTC button in the normal 3 series (M has DSC button down near the shifter).

4. UNDER BODY NEONS! zomg
5. Speaker BOOST (Blows the cloths off the girl in your passenger seat)

In all seriousness though, there may be a button for the enhanced stereo, similar to the HK system in the e46.

The enhanced premium sound system is configured through i-Drive.

I sent a email off to BMW NA, and Front PDC is a no-go, even for Priority 1. Also High Beam Assistant is also not offered on the USA model.

I checked the US 3 series owner's manual, and there is no optional function that uses button 5. It might be used for something in other countries though.

That never made any sense to me on the E46; why would you want to turn the subwoofer off? Sounds like crap w/o it.

It does not turn the sub woofer off, it enriches the sound, it sounds more "spacy" ..................................

In either case, I think his point was more... Why would you ever turn that enriched sound off? And I agree, I don't really see a purpose to turning it off either. If you want less bass then you could always just go into the radio config and turn the bass output lower.

One of those empty button spots could be for the valve on/off button for the Kreissieg F1 exhaust.

In the U.S. E46 ///M3, we do have the option of turning the subwoofer off. It's quite noticeable. One can open the trunk, put his hand on the two subwoofers, and notice no sound emitting from the units.

The fifth button space is used for turning off the stop/start function of the engine on standard E90/91/92/93 cars.
