These cars can be had for a lot less than the sticker.
People get worked up over sticker prices. But, that's the intent of the seller. Because, first, he gets you salivating over the car, second, when he offers to drop the sticker price 5K, you think your getting a great deal. In fact, you're not.
It's a game. Know the invoice and forget about the sticker.

The aforementioned cars at BMW of SF aren't listed at Sticker. They are marked up $15k to $20k.

They are waiting for some overpaid internet stock option lottery winner or hedge fund douche to stroll in from their $4,800 1br in the Marina to spend extra on that car "because they can."

Back in 2001 when I was trying to order a 330ci I was routinely quoted over MSRP prices and asked "if I was paying cash, etc etc" it's the same crap all over again but x10.

Now that the M4 has been unveiled, prices of E92 M3 are going up, up, UP!

I respect your opinion and so i'm curious why you think this?

The M4 seems to be a car more built for the masses given certain expected traits (better MPG, more torque, quieter, newer, better brakes, etc).

There are 60,000 e9X M3's out there so there's not going to be a shortage and so I don't think there will be an insufficient supply for the enthusiasts wanting more of a "pure" sports car (for what people have said before).

Even though I prefer the E92 at this stage of the game, I was joking with my above comment.

The M4 could turn out to be the best M car ever, we just have to wait and see.....

Besides, the supply is not as abundant as you are referring to. There is actually only 15,799 in the US/Can and only 6,235 6MT's. That's about 1000 units sold per year during the 6yr run from 08-13. Pretty rare for a car that was not "limited" in production. I think it's a keeper!

If that defines a rare car then my E90 DCT is one of only 2,732 such cars in North America. I guess that means it is even rarer and therefore likely to go up even more in value than the MT E92, right??
