My lease is due November of 2010, which is a little less than a year away. Let me know if you'd be interested in taking over my lease. I am looking to get back around $10,000 or so. Figure I have 8 months left of my lease which is 624*8 months...come's out to $4,992. Then My buyout at the end of the lease is $43,000. I am asking for approximately $10,000....that brings the sale price of my e92 to about $58,000. Let me know if you'd be interested...and i'd like to hear your insight on this as well...The sticker price of my car was $73k
I'm a little confused on your deal. So you want someone to take over your lease AND $10k out of pocket? Why would anyone want to do that? I would consider taking it over with NO money out of pocket considering you have 8 payments left only. LMK.

How does that make any sense. it's a a barely used 2009 m3 on which I put 25k down for the bring the payment to 624 a month...If you go and try to start a new lease on an m3, or take over one of the many other leases on the forum, ur payments are gonna be around 1000 a month.....The reason i'm asking for "approximately" 10k...is the buy-out on the lease is 43k and 5k in payments left, and if I just let it go w/ anything back what's the logic/point in that? I'm tryna be reasonable, and looking for someone reasonable to take over my lease....i'm not looking to get robbed, thanks.

I understand, and know how much the cars go for. You didn't disclose that you put down 25k on the lease in your listing. Now I see where your coming from. But, jeez, 25k down on a lease and still having a $600+ lease payment doesn't sound right. Anyway, beautiful car and Good luck with your sale.

Considering the 73k msrp.. 624 actually isn't that bad. Check out the numbers at a dealer if your skeptical

$600+ with $25k down seems off, but who knows.
MSRP=$73k
Residual=$43k
difference = $30k
minus down of $25k
=$5k of depreciation over term of lease

Leaving $5k of depreciation (if you paid MSRP), plus interest on $48k ($73-$25) for two years at say 5% should be about $4800 totL plus $5k of depreciation = $9,800/24 or about $400/month.

You must have rolled negative equity from another car into the lease or paid over MSRP when you bought it of $600+ minus $400 x 24 or $4,800+ of "extra" profit to the dealer or expense.

If you are asking for $10k upfront plus $600 month for 8-9 months, that is equal to $1,711 to 1,850 month for the remaining term of the lease (but I guess a $43k buyout at the end will likely have some value in 8-9 months as I would guess a '09 MDCT will be trading for more than that next fall)

all i have to say is wow! lol...yeah, I mean it may be a little difficult to get 10k back, but I figure someone who want's to lease an e92 for now, and buy it at the end of the lease it may seem worthit to them...I mean I don't have to get exactly 10k, but something reasonable, considering it would mean i'm only selling the car for a total of 58k, with the residual being at 43k at the end of the 8 months.

thanks man...it's a nice car. I put a lot down, cuz I wanted to bring the payment down, and there was a possibility I was gonna buy it. I absolutely hate the dct tho, it's a good transmission, and a lot of people enjoy it, but it doesn't do much for me. That's why I don't know if I wanna buy the car out anymore, and figured somebody on the post looking for a 09 e92 m3, loaded...in a nice color could take advantage of this opportunity.

I did the same thing you did to bring my payments down, 5k plus the 11k from my Z06 i traded. Lower payments are just a comfort I guess. Have you looked into any of the lease assumption web sites? Good luck!

Sorry to burst your bubble *again*, but I don't know a lot of people that are going to pay alot (if anything at all) out of pocket on a used lease. Not trying to be a pr*ck to you, just being real.
Typically people give incentives for swaping their leases, not ask 10k up front.
As ring007 did that math above. Your numbers are WAYYY off base. However, i'd take it off your hands with $0 money down.

wow..this is one of the most ridiculous things Ive ever seen. Do you realize that the $10k you want for a 7 month lease + the 624 you are already paying puts the monthly lease cost at OVER $2,000?? Im not one to bash on somebody's FS thread but youre insane..

This isnt a bad deal if you are planning to buy the car at the end of the lease.

I agree. Especially when the comment is coming from someone not owning an M3 and has no intentions of purchasing yours.

You have a beautiful car man, GLWS. Except for the roof, we have identical cars.

oh and btw i just checked with bmw financial services... a 73k car with 25k down and a 36 month lease comes out to $493 a month for 10k miles a year... and $549 for 15k miles a year but who would put 15k a year on a m3? so i doubt you got 15k a year as the mileage option

Alright. cool...i'm not lying to you, I don't even have the time to...If you want the car then reply here. Quit trying to contradict what i'm saying. We put that much down on my lease, and that's how much my payment came out to. Now go find better things to do then bash my thread...
