Parking Ticket in rental car

So after watching the Padres give up a great 9th inning come back last night I came out to find my Rental Kia loaner with a ticket on the windshield. My friend and I left the loaner at 5:57PM parked on a WHITE curb in front of a sign that read " 30 minute Comercial loading only between the hours of 6AM-6PM Monday through Saturday, Sundays and certain holidays excluded."

The ticket was written at 20:08 = 8:08PM and stated a 3 min parking violation.

So, I plan to fight the ticket with a couple of pictures that I took with my phone showing my parking spot and the sign.

But has anyone just let the ticket go past due and let the charges fall onto the Reg a year later when teh rental car Reg comes due? And do you think that the Rental company will hunt me down and make me pay the ticket?

If they have your credit car imprint, they can charge it to your card.

A Kia rental ??

But seriously, the rental agency will get a letter from the parking police and contact you to pay the ticket. I would definitely fight the ticket.
