E46 Departure = E92 Arrival

As much as I loved my E46, the E92 kept growing on me and I finally pulled the trigger. Placed my order in mid August for a 2010 Melbourne Red E92 with CF roof in 6 speed. I choose to go with NO options except leather seats and the extra $$ for the metallic color. I knew I was going with coilovers so there was no point in getting the EDC. I didnt care for bumper sensors, Tech or Cold weather package. I can honestly say that I shaved off over $10 grand going this route. All I really wanted was the car and the motor. Options didn't matter to me.

Current Updated Mods:
KW V3 Coilovers
Dixis Titanium exhaust
RE 18mm spacers (front)
LUX H8 LED angel eyes
BMW performance gloss black grill
Custom painted gloss black fender grill with smoked lenses
Gloss black M3 trunk emblem
IND color match reflectors
BMW stainless clutch and brake pedal
Ultimate Pedal gas pedal
20 inch Work Gnosis CV201
AA short shifter kit painted black
Custom Titanium Shift knob
Leather Z alcantara shift boot w/ M tri-stitch
BimmerFan Clutch Stop
Turner Motorsports Stud conversion w/ Macht Schnell lug nuts
LCI tail lights
Medico Charcool 55% tints

Pics of the E46 at the last stage of how it was sold and the day I dropped it off to the new owner.

Before the car was transformed back to "stock"

E92 fresh off the truck

Some goodies

Didn't get too agressive of a drop w/ the V3's as it barely made it up the alignment machine. Front is dropped 1.25 and the rears are dropped about 1 inch.

Interior shot: Nice clean and simple just the way I like it. Titanium shadow trim was free and it looks great. No need to pay an extra $500 or so for the aluminum, carbon leather or wooden trim.
Notice that I only have the BMW stainless clutch and brake pedal. The gas pedal is a whole entire unit and in 2009 and 2010 models they changed the whole gas pedal unit. So this didnt work out for me
I really liked how the clutch and brake pedal looked and feel so I kept it and sold the gas pedal to a friend of mine that has an 06 E90 3 series.

BBS LM-R's off the E46 waiting to go on.

CURRENT STAGE OF THE CAR

Been awhile. Ditched the front lip & black accent theme. Went with classic silver Advan RS. Got rid of the front lip, and gloss black grills & gills. Replaced with Performance Edition grills & gill with a light smoke tint on the reflector. Changed out the Whalen Shift knob for a custom made full Titanium shift knob with burnt fade and painted the AA short shifter black

Thanks for sharing. Looks clean. I like your style.

Are you going to put a rear diffuser on?

Thanks,
No rear diffuser, for some reason I'm not really loving it. Plus I like how the exhaust tips fill in the rear bumper as is.

Wow the exhaust tips are huge, never paid attention to that system before

Nice to see you modded it right away. I waited a little bit at least. I loved my E46 a lot too, but I can't turn back from the E92 at all

Nice!! Your interior looks just like mine, only option I got you didn't was the 19s. I too saved the $10k and put it towards mods, and have every mod I want and still haven't spent that extra money. I have however added an aftermarket stereo that has built in GPS, which is nice and is a fraction of the price of BMW navigation and easier to use.

Thanks, yea my stock stereo is pretty weak but I'm enjoy the exhaust note right now.
How did you get the aftermarket stereo done without issues with programming at the dealership? Because once your car goes in for programming its not going to recognize your stereo system will fail or crash your CCC. And the car will always need programming for updates.

good question... guess I won't be getting any updates then... Owned my car for a year and a half and haven't needed any, can't see needing one it the next 1.5 years I own it. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there

Yes, reason is because there's always new Technical Service bulletins for updates. When you bring it in for service they run your VIN on the SIB to see if it'll need any undates.

Thanks tightie,
Was a big fan of your car.
If I was ever or even close to being on the market for an SC I wouldve jumped on yours asap. I was on the GPower website and it says that they use the same blowers that Alpina uses. I've driven an Alpine B7 before. That thing is bananas!!!! And bananas is good

It has limited slip but no M button. I believe its the same has the Power button except it gives different levels of sport mode. I do have the Power button which is always on
