Struggling to Find 18" BBK Friendly Wheels...

D-Force are good and cost effective, but they will def require spacers as the offset is pretty high.

So it would take a 20mm spacer to use the 18x10? That's huge.

About that.
I think James@bimmerworld was running the 18x9.5 before. I would do those instead personally. If you want the 10" wheen get the MT1s instead.

the TE37 are great wheels, but they are getting discontinued for BMW bolt patterns.
Rays is really making the move over to VR. G2 for BMW, which means that it will be hard to get replacements down the road.

the G2 in 18" will work with the 380mm brembo with about 3mm clearance (just enough).
As for the Advan wheels, even the 19" had a little bit of an issue with the Brembo 380mm brakes. the Bolt on the caliper had to be grinded down a little.

As for weights, we don't have too much data on them. the only ones that we really post are ones that go through our store and we haven't had much 18" for the M3, except the HRE, Advan, and G2's and Neez. (many of which we either forgot to measure

).

What's the "VR" you mention? I know about the G2 and assume they're not being discontinued since they're brand new.

I think I've found the perfect wheels after talking to Ben@TireRack... 18x9 F 18x10 R (18x9 only shows up under 335i)

JWL/VIA certified, under 20 lbs, no spacers needed, and only $300 each!

Will these clear StopTech 380 mm BBK???

rldzhao, several people on this forum have been running that wheel on their E9X M3s. I remember seeing some reports in the track section. I suggest going for at least a 9.5" rim on the front. I thought the 9.5"/10.5" combo worked really well.

Fit over BBK, 8.8kg per corner, stiff and strong (just as important as weight)

9.5 will squeeze on the front and avoid spacers, but if you just get a smaller offset on new rims you can achieve the samne thing BUT some rims (the cheaper ones) tend to have very few moulds so you jujst end up with big lumps of rim hub metal where the spacers were

check your new rims for correct weight of the offset you are buying or they will just give you the weight of the rim with the biggest offset

Because I am betting that with time you'll want to put on wider front tires than a 9" rim will allow you on the track. The car is heavy, and wider tires should help under braking. If you invest in 9" rims now, the chances are you'll be thinking about wider ones later knowing you can stuff stuff even 10" rims in there (I think around 25mm offset would work). The 10"/10.5" combo would be interesting, but I don't think the car has a rotation issue under power, and 9.5"/10.5" works fine.

I think I am gonna run 265-35 295-30 F/R, and 265 should fit on a 9" wheel. What size did you run in the front?

Also I read here that Hellride bent his front rims?? Anyone else bent their TRMotorsport rims??

Just because the tire can be fitted doesn't mean that is the optimal rim width for it. I ran 265/285 tires on 9.5"/10.5" rims. I wouldn't mount the same 265 tire on a 9" rim if I were you and had the choice of going for wider rims. At NHMS, I saw that Will Turner was running 275 Hoosiers on 10" front rims for instance, and I believe that is the setup they recommend for the 10" square setup they sell.

I did, however, realize that the TRM MT-1 are gravity casted, and at such a low weight (<20 lb), not very confidence inspiring...

Looks like I have to look into CCW custom so that I can get the exact width and offset I want...
